Another Infinity on the charts :nocheer:

Yep and a really crap version

u have any idea when Circus(single) will be eligible to chart???

Yes, in 2 weeks time.

Great to see Circus still in top 40. Finally Allein Allein and Hot N Cold falling, good for Casandra amazing track. Next week Circus should be new entry in singles chart. :D

Yan's German chart comments - Issue date 27.02

Finally a week with a considerable inflow of new entries. Still, the first two positions continue to be occupied by James Morrison and Mando Diao, with the latter crowning also the album chart.

After debuting in the top 20 last week, the new chart sees Peter Fox and Razorlight shooting in the top 5, at #3 and #4, respectively. I continue to be amazed by the success of Razorlight in Germany, which for me is quite unexpected. As for Peter, as I mentioned last time, his winning at the Bundesvision Song Contest has perhaps propelled the sales of the song, which now reaches #3 and thus beats the peak of "Alles Neu" (#4), the first single of Fox's debut album.

Down at #5 comes in the highest new entry of the week from Polarkreis 18. "The Colour Of Snow" is the follow-up of super hit "Allein Allein" and as the latter is staying in the top 10 for what is its 20th week  now, is good to know that Germans did not ignore the second single from the guys' latest album. Great song, great video and quite deserved success.

Apart from the top 5, the big action this week happens in the positions between 20 and 30, where six new entries shake up the chart. Starting with party DJ Michael Wendler at #21, with "I don't know". Wendler is of course well-known to all carnival goers in Germany with hits like "Sie liebt den DJ" and "Nina". Speaking of carnivals, I think they are the reason for the influx of songs from Hoehner, Brings and many more in the chart this week. The highest placing carnival-themed song however belongs to Tim Toupet, whose "So ein schoener Tag" shoots 30-12.

A place beneath Wendler enters the latest offering of German singer Sasha. Despite having Europe-wide hits with "I Believe" and "I Feel Lonely", he has never managed again to break the boundaries of the German speaking countries, which is a shame as his songs are not bad at all. Sasha has been absent from the chart for two years. The same can be said also to Reamonn, who have never succeeded in having big hits outside Germany, despite singing in English.

Two international acts are also new in the top 30 this week - with Chris Cornell, and his "Part Of Me" at #24, and The Prodigy, with their comeback single "O" at #28. While Chris Cornell style experiments are quite interesting, I think that I like Prodigy's older staff more, and especially "No Good" .

I must disagree with something YanBG, Reamonn are relatively known here in Portugal. Supergirl received medium airplay, but when Star was released, it was absolutely huge here. Strong and Tonight did relatively well too.

Perhaps you are right, but I didn't find much info on their success outside Germany, Austria and Switzerland..., and I don't remember seeing them in any other charts :)

Ironically the lead singer, Rea Garvey is irish

Hot & Cold & Allein Allein have been having a chart position battle for ages now first week in ages its Polarkries 18 in front with Allein those 2 tracks are stuck like glue.

I didnt know Razorlight were big in Germany?

I wonder if Alesha will get a hit with TBDN has its hitting all across europe at present.

2 of their albums went top30 in Portugal, "Beautiful Sky" (#9) and "Raise Your Hands" (#25)

where is poker face, i thought it was doing well on downloads?

Yeah maybe, but I think the record label hasn't allowed to chart the song on downloads alone. Next week though it wil appear because the physical release is out already since the 20th Feb.

German's new nr 1 : next week is Silbermond - irgendwas bleibt Lady gaga is a new entry on position nr 2

and the third new entry are'Toten hosen - alles was war on position 9...

No surprises there, Silbermond's song has a "number one" written all over it. And Lady Gaga is massive everywhere...
