February 28, 200916 yr I admit they had catchy tunes when they first appeared, but I much prefered Duran Duran to them. Not a fan.
February 28, 200916 yr again, like brian, not a fan although their material wasnt offensive, just good old fashioned good time pop. i dont like the way they are often cited as 'leaders of the new romantics', when in fact they werent. boy george was the cloakroom attendant at blitz, not the headline act! by the time culture club hit the charts, new romantics were over (but left us with the archytypal early 80's fashions that lasted until the mid/late 80's.)
