March 10, 200916 yr Leona Lewis Spirit 2,768,408 Source: BUZZJACK...i combined the sales of 2007/2008/2009
March 11, 200916 yr Author I have a combined total up to the end of 2008. Then I just add on the estimate for 2009 :)
March 12, 200916 yr i know Amy Winehouse's figure combines the standard and deluxe editions, but what about that box set which came out before Xmas? It contained the deluxe of Frank and Back to Black in a DVD size case with different artwork (black and white with green). It only £15-20 so good purchase if you don't have either, but will its sales count separately, together, or is it even eligible? OCC said they'll combine hers for the list didn't they?
April 23, 200916 yr Anyone updating this... Just wondering if it could be updated like the singles version.
April 23, 200916 yr Author I'll have another look at it at the end of June. All of the albums need to be updated properly, not just the ones that you see in the weekly Top 200. I don't think this is happening on the singles version. Leona, Duffy and KOL fans are free to update their favourite albums until then.
April 23, 200916 yr Author Updating Leona would make it look like this ..... 1 Back to Bedlam - James Blunt 3,166,000 2 No Angel - Dido 3,033,000 3 Back to Black (Combined) – Amy Winehouse 2,907,000 4 White Ladder - David Gray 2,904,000 5 Life For Rent - Dido 2,838,000 6 1 - The Beatles 2,799,000 7 Spirit - Leona Lewis 2,791,000 8 Scissor Sisters - Scissor Sisters 2,705,000
April 23, 200916 yr Take That's The Circus must be in that top 40 by now! But I'm too tired to work it out! Sorry! Norma

The November 2008 'Box Set' that had both 'Frank' & 'Back To Black' in it, has not had its Sales added to either individual CD. The OCC tell me that the 'Box Set' was not a big seller anyhow. But, if it had Charted it would have been counted as an entirely separate release, to either CD. Its Sales will never be added to either CD. Edited April 24, 200916 yr by zeus555

Thanks Zeus, interesting. wasn't sure wtf would happen with all these deluxe rules relaxed Kind of a side point but what's the deal with Queen's GH (i'm mainly referring to GH1) and the platinum collection in terms of how and where sales are allocated?
April 29, 200916 yr I used to think that Sales from, 'The Platinum Collection', by Queen, had been added to those of 'GH' & 'GH II'. However, The OCC assure me that this has never happened.
April 29, 200916 yr So GH1 has apparently sold 5.5mil or something NOT including sales of the platinum collection?! That doesn't add up surely, they haven't been combined? What about the "GH1&2" set, were they halved or added to sales of the solus albums?
April 30, 200916 yr Author Yeah, something just doesn't seem right with Queen's Greatest Hits. I'm leaving the all time chart for Zeus to figure out. :D
April 30, 200916 yr Author Does anyone know how far off Rihanna is with Good Girl Gone Bad? I thought she would've made it tbh. Haven't added it up for a while ..... Good Girl Gone Bad - Rihanna 1,512,000
April 30, 200916 yr All I know is that in 2006, several Chart Fans worked out, (Year End 'MW' figures, plus estimates), what the Top 100 UK Albums List might be like. We had Queen's 'GH', (One), in 2nd place - after 'Sgt Pepper...', & 'GH II' in 35th place. When The OCC published their Top 100 Albums List, (November 2006), we were surprised to see 'GH' in 1st place, & The Beatles Album in 2nd. However, we were 100% amazed to see 'GH II' in 7th place, when our figures had it in 35th place. BUT, The OCC assure me, that there are Zero Sales from 'The Platinum Collection' added to either of the 2 Queen Compilations. (Or from 'Greatest Hits I & II', a Double CD, which reached No.37, in 1994). I've asked my contact there, that question about 3 times! The answer is always the same. The OCC have 'GH II' on 3,740,000 Sales, (Rounded), to W/E 3rd January 2009. (Its Total 1991 to 2008 Sales). Queen are the only Act with 3 Albums, in the UK's All Time Top 40 'Hits' Albums List. They are 1st & 3rd, ('GH' & 'GH II'), & also in the Top 40 with 'The Platinum Collection. ABBA are 2nd, ('Gold'), & 7th, ('Greatest Hits'). Hopefully, the Top 40 will be in the 'British Hit Albums Book', in late June. (If not, I'll try very hard to persuade The OCC to let us see the List, anyhow). Edited April 30, 200916 yr by zeus555
