MySkip's 24-Hour Celebrity Throwaway Darius and other celebrities endorse reuse as sustainable alternative to recycling MySkip.com, a website dedicated to promoting the reuse of unwanted goods, will host the UK's first-ever 24-hour 'Celebrity Throwaway' in order to raise awareness around the importance of reuse as an alternative to recycling. Everyday items donated by celebrities will be available for free at www.myskip.com on Tuesday 3rd March 2009 and Darius has donated a mystery item which will be posted on the website at 6pm. "We encourage people to participate in the 'celebrity throwaway' so they can get excited about reuse, and see that reuse is easy to incorporate into their everyday routine," added May Al-Karooni, Director of Operations, MySkip. During the throwaway, users will only need to search the site for their favourite celebrity's anonymous item. Reserving an item using your mobile is £1 excluding standard network charges. March 3, 200916 yr This site has a video message from Darius..........it gives no date of when it was recorded, but I presume quite recently.
March 3, 200916 yr Thanks, Bramley. Good to see you here again. I hope you're well. Did anyone see Tonight last night? They tried to get rid of a binful of recyclable plastic without any harm to the environment, and couldn't. The only real alternative to landfill was incinerating, which causes CO2 emissions. It's a disgrace. Other countries can do it, even ones far smaller than the UK e.g. Belgium. They just organise collection better and spend more time sorting and separating the plastics.
March 3, 200916 yr I'm fine thanks, BT, just been extremely busy. Feels good to be back. No, I didn't see Tonight.......have seen very little TV lately.
March 3, 200916 yr I know that feeling. I'm glad that's all it was. Tbh TV isn't all that great just now, I rarely consciously watch it - often as last night, it's just on in the background and might as well be radio.
March 3, 200916 yr Author The video can't be less than a year old or more than 2 years old. It was nice to see.

March 4, 200916 yr Author There were only 3 things in his hour and I didn't want any. I can remember Dell speakers and police sunglasses but that's it.
