RACHEL STEVENS - SOME GIRLS - 2004 - SPORTS RELIEF - artist

Oh I didn't know Some Girls was for charity! :o

I love that song

Band Aid 20

GA vs SB

The Saturdays

McFly (both AAY and Do Ya)

X Factor

GA (ISBY)

(btw, Band Aid 1984 should be on the list along with The Sats and GA too)

As someone whom has been buying singles since 1980:

Cliff Richard & The Young Ones - Living Doll 1986 (Comic Relief)

Lou Reed & Various Artists - Perfect Day 1997 (Children In Need)

Geraldine McQueen - Once Upon A Christmas Song 2008 (NSPCC)

In short if I support the charity I don't buy the ruddy record unless I really want to buy the record, I give my money directly to the cause.

So I'm due to buy my next Charity single in 2019!

I've got Lou Reed & Various Artists - Perfect Day 1997 too.

Spice Girls - Who Do You Think You Are

S Club 7 - Never Had A Dream Come True

S Club 7 - Have You Ever

Rachel Stevens - Some Girls

Girls Aloud - I'll Stand By You

Band Aid 20 - Do They Know It's Christmas

Sugababes vs. Girls Aloud - Walk This Way

Spice Girls - Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)

Leona Lewis - Better In Time/Footprints In The Sand

The X Factor Finalists - Hero

The Saturdays - Just Can't Get Enough

The only ones I've bought was Band Aid 20 and Leona's one last year. Maybe my mum bought me the Spice Girls ones when I'm younger, but I lost all my Spice Girls singles ages ago.

I have a lot of charity songs I think but I didn't buy them, is that bad? My favourite made especially for a charity is "Just Stand Up!" which was recorded last year. It had a roster of some of my obsessions on it.

Girls Aloud vs Sugababes - Walk This Way CD purchased like 3 months agor from Woolies (RIP)

Leona Lewis - Better In Time/Footprints In The Sand CD purchased like 2 weeks ago from a used goods shop

For me:

-> Band Aid 20: Do They Know It's Christmas? - Both for the cause and completionist reasons (I already had the 1984 and 1989 (:puke:) versions).

-> McFly: All About You/You've Got A Friend - The (first) song.

-> Tony Christie: (Is This The Way To) Amarillo - The cause.

It should be noted that there I plenty that I have on compilation CDs. For which, read: "Now That's What I Call Music" whatever.

VV Brown - This Charming Man

It's barely a charity single, being the B-side to "Leave!", but I noticed that 10p from each download goes to the Women's Aid charity. They should be on to make £1001 then. (the record company has already given them a £1000 donation.)

Girls Aloud Vs Sugababes - Walk This Way

Girls Aloud - I'll Stand By You

Rachel Stevens - Some Girls

Gareth Gates - Spirit In The Sky

Band Aid 20 - Do They Know It's Christmas

Pop Idol Finalists - Happy Xmas (War Is Over)

I bought these as well. I still love these songs (except the latter three) to this day and bought their purely on the quality of the song.

I think I only bought Band Aid 20 and Pop Idol Finalists because I was in the festive mood.

I'm pretty sure I have a few other Charity-related purchases hiding elsewhere.

If i had a chance i'd have bought 100 Miles

Spice Girls - Mama

The X Factor Finalists 2008 - Hero

Artists Stand Up to Cancer - Just Stand Up!

All because I liked the song. The charity will get so little profit off a £4 cd - or an 80p download. So I donate to the charity directly and then wait for the Comic relief song etc. to turn up on a Now.

I bought Band Aid 20 "Do They Know It's Christmas" but that was because my girlfriend at the time wanted a copy of it and couldn't be bothered to walk into town.

I also bought "(Is This The Way To) Amarillo" for the video (Ronnie Corbett tripping over mainly  )- these were the days before YouTube y'know. :P

That's all I think.

X Factor Finalists - Hero

S Club 7 - Never Had A Dream Come True

S Club 7 - Have You Ever

Emma Bunton - Downtown

(I was with my Auntie when she bought Gareth Gates - Spirit In The Sky )

Most other charity singles i have though (possibly illegally )

I downloaded Estelle's song on the War Child Heroes album, does that count?
