Posted March 4, 200916 yr Pixie's debut single double A-Side "Mama Do/Here We Go Again" 11th May 2009. 'Mama Do' sounds a bit Gabriella Cilmi track whist 'Here We Go Again' would not be out of place on the Lady Gaga debut, as indeed its produced by RedOne and her voice sounds similar to Lady Gaga to imo. Good stuff, she will do well if Radio picks it up. Mama Do MTyPIRf4wvg Here We Go Again/I Wish I Was There Y2xqvBUbgXk
March 4, 200916 yr oh is Here We Go Again a double a-side with Mama Do :o you should enter BJSC Conor, Here We Go Again is my next entry to the contest  and I entered another song of hers, Boys & Girls, a few months ago and it came 3rd!!! The Fall is another great track of hers, although that has a new name now, Turn It Up, very Natasha Bedingfield/GaGa-ish hopefully Radio 1 will snap her up and make her a success, although they need to snap up Here We Go Again over Mama Do to be honest, which is very 2008 in it's sound wheras the former sounds so fresh
March 4, 200916 yr I hope i'm not the only one who see's more similarities between Pixie and Natasha Bedingfield, rather than Pixie and Lady gaga (Who IMO is COMPLETELY different :|)
March 4, 200916 yr I hope i'm not the only one who see's more similarities between Pixie and Natasha Bedingfield, rather than Pixie and Lady gaga (Who IMO is COMPLETELY different :|) I agree with you that she is more like Natasha usually, but Here We Go Again really does sound like it could have been written for Lady GaGa...it even has the same sound effects that are in Just Dance and Poker Face :heehee:
March 4, 200916 yr Oooh, good to see she's finally getting started. I've listened to the the 2 singles and im not a fan of Mama Do but Here We Go Again is fantastic. I still prefer Boys & Girls to both of them though.
March 4, 200916 yr Oh DEAR. Here We Go Again is a RIGHT old mess! Absolutely agreed. :/ It's a jumbled mess of bandwagon jumping. She's trying to be Gaga/Cilmi/Natasha/Duffy all in one and it falls apart, terrible cheesy lyrics on top of that too.
March 5, 200916 yr All of her songs have quite different styles from what I've heard so far, which could lead to a messy incohesive album, I agree, but as standalone songs I think that 'Boys & Girls', 'Turn It Up (The Fall)' and 'Here We Go Again' are excellent. She has a lot of hit potential in my opinion, and I suppose the UK needs an answer to Taylor Swift. Pixie could hopefully become a good role model for teens, as long as she doesn't get too 'stage school' and develop too much of an ego as I can't think of any comparable British teen acts, other than The Saturdays. Gabriella Cilmi always seems so mature for her age, so I'm not sure how many teenagers can relate to her and her album, which is something that a girl much older than Gabriella should have recorded in my opinion. Pixie looks as if she's going to come out with a pure pop album and could well echo the success of The Saturdays if she is marketed to the same audiences, which I'm sure she will be.

Im quite fond of Turn It Up and Boys & Girls, hopefully she will have reasonable success

You can register a 'country' now and participate in next months contest, the preparations of which will start from this Monday after the current one has finished Boys & Girls is very much I feel what the Sugababes should have released in place of Girls

From what I've seen of her, Gabriella Cilmi has the intelligence and maturity of a 12 year old. :/ We shall see. I'm not denying that she could be successful but I think she is rather god awful from what I've heard. Boys and Girls was alright.
March 6, 200916 yr I love Pixie, Boys & Girls is one of my favourite discoveries of last year behind Red Blooded Women, Lorelei Carlson and Smack Me! (Untouched) Gabriella Cilmi is blates God in a human form :kink: On a more serious note i love Gabby C, she is an incredible singer and is hugely impressive live. She is very talented and does appear to be older than she actually is. Lessons To Be Learned is a very mature album, partially i would imagine thanks to Xenomania's part in it. Shame she is very Marmite in Aus.
March 6, 200916 yr How on earth does Gabriella Cilmi come across as older than she is? Admittedly on record she does, as mentioned thanks to Xenomania, with the purpose of selling records but in interviews/on TV in general she comes across as a bratty 13 year old. Totally ignorant and childlike in a massive way. She's better musically than in terms of character and that's saying something. Anyway 'Here We Go' again is a mess. It annoys me how RedOne continually uses that one particular sample: 'Whine Up', 'Just Dance' and now this D:
March 6, 200916 yr I did have the privilege of actually meeting Gabriella in Glasgow. She handled herself and the crowed very well and was a generally pleasant person. Not quite as nice as Amelle Berrabah who is quite possibly one of the nicest people i have ever met. Famous or not.

How on earth does Gabriella Cilmi come across as older than she is? well she looks mature at least, has a mature voice and her music style/album is mature for a 16/17 year old. I can't comment on her personality as I don't think I've ever seen or heard an interview with her...

Timbaland is the worst for it though by far with the plain odd noises.
March 8, 200916 yr Here We Go Again is fantastic, although I was quite amused to hear the Just Dance/Poker Face/Whine Up sound effect :heehee: 'Twill get old in a few months I think, a la 'eh eh' of Timba...
March 9, 200916 yr whoever would have thought that innocent looking, Natasha Bedingfield/Louis Walsh photo opportunity grabbing fan Pixie would jump onto the RedOne bandwagon :o :heehee:
April 3, 200916 yr Mama Do is getting it's first play on Radio 1 right now [literally lol] And Jo Whiley loves her! so she should do quite well Just wish my internet hadn't just killed the stream mid way through the song. Star Tech is going to die! <_< i can see it's logged me out of MSN and everything! [when i say right now, i mean nearly an hour ago before my internet died, my ISP decided not to answer the phone, then i gave up and hunted for a working wireless signal]
