For those of you who have time i was thinking how about we pick 10 songs we adore that are album tracks only, you know those songs when you think thank god i bought this album or i would have never heard of this song it can include take that if you like,

Likewise do a seperate list of 10 albums you would recommend for people to buy,,and explain why. Both the top 10;s will be interesting as i think in general we all have very differnt music tastes outside Take That so it will give us lots to talk about and also maybe help add some more great cds to our own collections.

Nearly all Beatles album tracks are brilliant (with the exception of The White Album - which I really don't like) so I'll have a little think about my favourites. In fact some are so brilliant ... with the distance of time ... I can't remember if they were singles or not! There are a few albums that I've enjoyed recently - and if it hadn't have been for Buzzjack - I would seriously never have bothered listening to. Good idea for a thread ... but I think it'll be just me, you and Iris partakiing.

well even if its just the three of im sure we will at least discover one new song each that we will end up loving

Not sure if I can think of 10... my mind is a bit foggy so I'll have to Wikipedia to know if they were released or not!

1. You - The Circus album from Take That (I'm going out on a limb saying this won't be released as a single)

2. Missing You - Finally Woken album by Jem

3. Think About Me - Gutterflower album by Goo Goo Dolls

4. Finding Me - Everything You Want by Vertical Horizon

5. Everytime I Look For You - Take Off Your Pants & Jacket album by Blink 182

There would be more but I didn't add songs that were released in other countries. Also I have a bit of a headache so maybe I'll think of something else later.

For me it is also very difficult to find the songs, as i don't know which were released or not as singles :teresa: . I will skeap the Beatles songs !

- Meeting Place - The Last Shadow Puppets : a nice little perfect song

- Baby I 'm not good - Mark Owen : love a simple song like that, with deep lyrcis and much emotion. For the lonely hours when i look at the past and i am not quite content with what i achieved.

"And you come back to ask me

What I lost, what I gained

I'd probably answer

I did all that I could

But it wasn't that

much I'm afraid,

Baby I'm no good"

- Wasting away - Mark Owen : ok, here i have no words to describe why i like it because i like this song too deeply for the words, but when i am really down and need someone to understand me and i have none, i listen to this song.

- Sad Liza - Cat Stevens : sad and beautiful

- Beautiful Boy - John Lennon : i love the tiny asiatic sounds in the background . And these lyrics are one of the best Lennon comes with:

"Before you cross the street,

Take my hand,

Life is just what happens to you,

While your busy making other plans,"

- Working class hero - John Lennon : i think i don't need to say why, just add the lyrics:

"Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV,

And you think you're so clever and classless and free,

But you're still f***ing peasents as far as I can see, "

So much truth in 3 minutes!

- Pimpf - Depeche Mode : this song have no words. But i have listen to the album 101 as i read "Dune" of Frank Herbert and they remain forever in my mind together. They have the same mixture of mysticism with technology.

- Old Whore's Diet - Rufus Wainwright : i am not soo keen on the lyrics but the music is brilliant. He tends to choose the best songs as singles and the rest are sometimes too similar in sound, but this one is different. It must be this or "Greek song" - but i coudn't find out if the latter was released as a single.

- Who needs love - Razorlight : love the lyrics, very ironic (and i love ironic lyrics):

"Oooh darling who needs love?

Who needs a heaven up above?

Who needs all the arguments, who needs to be right, not I "

- People are strange - The Doors : the first song i liked at The Doors. Used to think at this song a lot as i changed my birth country with Germany and i coudn't even speak german, so feeling foreign and everything around me was just strange.

- Don't Think Twice, It's All Right - Bob Dylan : We had in my land an actor who sung this song translated. So i discovered that there is a Bob Dylan apart of Blowing in the wind. Brilliant lyrics. Very bitter ironic:

"I ain't sayin' you treated me unkind

You could have done better but I don't mind

You just kinda wasted my precious time

But don't think twice, it's all right"

As you see i tend to choose and like songs with which i have a very deep bonding and where i love the lyrics  .

a very interesting top 10 so i will ask out of all them which do u thinki should head of and downaload to see what i think??

Better get on youtube first! If you like them ,you can download those of Owen - he is the only one not appreciate as a songwriter from my list ! :teresa: I mean that i am a TT fan only because first i was a Owen fan, his last CDs are brill and i consider him an outstanding songwriter ( please remark i don't say the best singer  - but well, i am not looking for the best voice outthere but for the best bond between singer and song, for passion and emotion , and he gives that). His album How the mighty fall (will be on my top 10)is so far from what the mode says, absolutly odd, weird, funny and no song to skip (well, for me). Some songs have cinematic lyrics - first you should close your eyes, see the scene, feel what that scene would mean for you if you where in it or observing it and after that you feel the song. The other songs are very methaphoric. I could hardly choose the song for the list, as everyone from the album has a meaning for me - which is very seldom for me at the modern songwriters. But well, i will say more on the album list  .

All the other are very well known, perhaps you have them already. Lennon - don't buy the whole CDs, download only the best tracks, as he have a lot of very strange and sound-experimental songs. Depeche Mode - you either like them or hate them. The Doors - half (at least)of what they made deserve to be downloaded. Rufus - hmmm, a little difficult. His best songs are really the singles, if you have them you have almost what you need. Razorlight - very funny song. It deserve downloading. The album has a lot of fillers ( but i am still going to see them live  ). Cat Stevens - brilliant. Very hard to choose only one song for my list. His album Tea for the Tillerman will be in my top 10 , when i will write it  . The Last Shadow puppets - i still have not buyed their album - on my wish list. So i cannot tell you if only this one or all deserve. Bob Dylan - here like at Owen. Brill songwriter, his voice is far from being good. Keep yourself far from ´live" albums or tracks. His voice got worse with age.

Alot of your artist choices i really like apart from the last shadow puppets who i dont like at all ,and its good to see a mark own fan i agree his albums are brilliant although green man is still my fave of his but every album of his has great songs although i do like alot of them none of his songs have made my top 10 which i am going to deliver now

10 Melanie C lets go,its a song from her second album which is called reason and i firmly believe had this been a single the album would have sold much better, overall its an album i love and ithink its a far better album than her huge first album northern star, like mark owen's solo career i think mel is also very under rated.

09 City of delusiion by Muse from their black holes and revemation album, great song that simply strikes a chord with me again i think it would have made a great single but then again its great when you buy albums and you know that had you not spent 10 quid on this album you would never have heard the song which is great as it adds to the thril of buying full albums

08 Bed of lies by Matchbox 20 from their mad season album, brilliant band and brilliant album a swas all their albums and for some reason never did the busines in the uk,if youre gone is one of my fave songs ever and that only managed a minor top 40 ht so releasing this cracker i dont think would have done well for them either which is a shame, this is one band who amerians have taking to their hearts and i just wish they had the same uk success

07 I dont need anyone Kylie Minogue from the impossible princess album,,this is kylie's least successful uk album and one of her most successful albums in Oz,again im a huge Kylie fan and this is one of my fave kylie albums to date but on this side of the world the album in a way has a cult following,i dont need anyone was due to be the 4th single but was cancelled, from this album i would originaly recommend the fantastic breathe but that was a single(which didnt do great either) but again u would so recommend these 2 songs from that album and an albun where Kylie wrote alot of the material.

06 Indie rock n roll the Killers from their debut album hot fuss, definitly the stand out track for me from this album and a song i truly adore and i believe is far better than any single they have ever released so glad i bought the album for this tracl alone.

05 Captain crash and the beauty queen from mars Bon Jovi from the album crush oh i how love this feel good pop rock song its from one of their stronfer recent albums and i enjoy the song immensly and i think would have made a fantastic follow up to the huge hit its my life.

04 Dina Carroll heaven is from the album so close, this from an outsanding album in general and a hugely successful album, dont be a stranger was the only big hit of the album although the rest made the top 20 i feel this song would have ensured the album sold well over the million copies which to date has sold almost 1 million, taleneted lady that wrote alot of material and i hope she one day makes a return which that long awaited 3rd studio album.

03 Lie to me Gary Barlow from the album 12 months 11 days, well as norma knows this is an album i have loved and constantly feel the album is hugely under rated,i think this was dueto be a single but was cancelled and this song in particular i feel hat had it been a take that song it would have been huge,i lovely ballad that i love and listen to quite alot to this very day.

02 Hands open Snow Patrol from the eyes open album, this song i adore and why they didnt have it as a single is beyond me,its one of their rockier faster paced songs and i absolutly love and i would recommend this song and the album in general to everyone and anyone BRILLIANT

01 Blood on blood Bon Jovi from the brilliant new jersey album, now this album was huge and sold millions so i dont think the song would have changed anyting on that score but this song i adore to bits ,its a song that always picks me up when im having a crap day and also reminds me of the days when i was young free and single, had no gret hair and bills werent a worry,at this time in my life my only worry was when i would get enough money to buy a new album,i would recommend you all to listen to this but i will say its a song you will love or hate, check it enjoy and let me know what you think.
