Punk's most colourful and cartoonish outfit whose entertainment value often outshone their undoubted talent.

Grimly Fiendish (1985 UK#21)

Eloise (1986 UK#3)

Were any of you fans of this gothic punk band featuring the charismatic Dave Vanian; Captain Sensible & Rat Scabies within their line up or not?

I liked them a bit, mainly the songs you mentioned. I liked their version of Eloise which was their only top 10 hit.

i like them, though i think they are largely forgotten in favour of the clash. 'love song' and 'smash it up' in particular were great.

didnt like 'eloise' though as i much prefer barry ryans original.
