March 8, 200916 yr I really liked DDDBM&T, I thought their songs were good catchy pop songs for the mid 60's. Loved Xanadu and Hold tight especially.
March 8, 200916 yr as you may have noticed, they score pretty highly in my favs listings with xanadou being at the top of 1968. imho they were our best 'pop' group from the 60's (ok im defining pop here as 'pop' and not as the blanket definition that would include all the serious pop groups of the time) great quirky melodic tracks which oddly lost them their direction after their biggest hit 'xanadou'. reckon 'hold tight' from 66 was one of the first 'heavy' tracks and was possibly influencial on the yet to be born heavy metal leaders like purple/sabbath.
