Let It Go is my favourite Will Young album to date. :D It's the most rounded and much more like a whole, integral piece of (art)work. Friday's Child and Keep On follow after that. FC and KO are much more piecemeal.

Someone mentioned Dance The Night Away being one of their least favourites on FC - well, it's one of my favourites. :D Thank goodness we all have different tastes.

Faves and least faves -

From Now On

Faves: Cruel To Be Kind, Fine Line, From Now On, Lovestruck, You and I, What's In Goodbye (I'm almost alone with that one!)

Least faves: TLAWR, Evergreen, Evergreen and Evergreen (except for certain live versions)

Friday's Child

Faves: Free, Very Kind, Stronger, Dance The Night Away, Going My Way, Friday's Child

Least faves: Out of My Mind and Love Is A Matter of Distance - though there aren't any tracks that are really dislike

Keep On

Strong faves (standouts): All Time Love, All I Want, Think About It and Home - these 4 are amazing

Other faves: Keep On, Ain't Such A Bad Place To Be, Happiness

Least faves: Switch It On, Think It Over and Save Yourself

Let It Go

I'll start with the least faves, as I really struggle to name any: Free My Mind and I Won't Give Up (although I actually think it would make a good single!). Don't dislike them, just like them a little bit less than the rest of the album. I actually like all the songs!

Standout, strong (super-)faves: If Love Equals Nothing, Tell Me The Worst, You Don't Know, Won't Look Down, Love, Changes

Other faves: Grace and Simple Philosophy, Let It Go

I also love the i-tunes extra, This Is Who I Am, though I can see how it didn't fit on the album.

I really liked Friday's child & Keep on but the new album doesnt deliver in the same way for me unfortunately. I wonder if he'll do a greatest hits next.

Have you heard the whole album? I thought you haven't bought it? You are obviously not the only one not to have bought LIG so it's interesting to read your reasons :) . It's strange that LIG has had such great critical reviews.

LIG and KO are equal favourite albums. I think If Love Equals Nothing is Will's highest point in songwriting and singing. It's my favourite Will song anyway. I also think the bonus track This Is Who I am was totally wasted as a mere bonus track. It should have been a single, no question. I never understand the thinking of record companies :P

You can listen to an entire album without buying it from sites like spotify.

A greatest hits album won't be a good idea as his greastest hit is his 2nd worst one

A"best of" removing evergreen and that Gareth gates duet would work.

Personally, with the exception of Grace I wouldn't say any of his singles are his best songs...I much prefer his album tracks. I always find the tracks that don't immediately grab me when I first hear them but take a few listens tend to end up as my favourites.

I can't say I particularly want a compilation album, just a new one at some point :)

Would love a live reworking of his greatest hits. Will is one of the few pop artists who is definitely better live than on disc & we all know he never performs songs the same way twice.

I agree they can leave off LAWR, never bought it the first time. :P

I think live tracks only work as B sides. As stand alone albums they never sell well as only die hard fans buy them.

The one song IMO he has done so much better live is over you from the first album. It was almost unrecognisable when he sang it in concert, it was practically a new song!

Think we've had a few different versions of over you. The sultry sexy theatre tour version & the updeat carnival vibe at the Arena tour.

Do you have a link to the theatre tour version?

He's done loads of Over You's...the recorded, the slow sexy theatre one, the fast one from the Arena tour & he also did a Cuban version on an old summer concert didn't he.....

How could I forget the Cuban festival version. Each time sounding like a completely new song. :D
