April 2, 200916 yr Author LGE gets its video premiere on 4Music, this Tuesday, 7pm. :D Exciting! Repeated at midnight that night on C4.
April 2, 200916 yr They need to release chasing ghosts as a 4th single before they think of a deluxe re-release! That should get the abum to platinum and beyond if lets get excited doesn't do the biz. *Hand It Over 'Excited' for the video. :D
April 2, 200916 yr *Hand It Over 'Excited' for the video. :D Ahaha, oh that was bad. :( Agree that "Hand It Over" should be 4th though. I personally prefer "Play Me" but it's more of a fun album track. I'm wondering if she should have a 4th single though, where is this one going exactly?
April 2, 200916 yr Author How can we possibly answer that before we've heard the radio edit, seen the video etc? :heehee: Either way she'll get a 4th. Nobody whose first two singles sell above 200k don't get a fourth just because the third flopped.

Nobody whose first two singles sell above 200k don't get a fourth just because the third flopped. Well how the radio edit was described was good, but it's not a huge difference and the video doesn't sound that interesting. Unfortunately I can only see this being a minor top 30 hit. She's done two prime time performances (though both were far too early) of this and it's not done much. I guess I'm feeling a bit negative after "Breathe Slow" FLEW up the charts after her New Year performance, which was very early. I guess you do have a point though, the only situation I can think of it "Blackout" Britney, though her 4th single was obviously cancelled because Britney was too mentally unstable to release the third single, let alone a fourth.

This isn't meant to sound horrible, but did you think your post through AT ALL? You haven't heard the radio edit - you're going on someone else's description. And you haven't even seen the video - again you're going on my very short and basic description because I'll more than likely get a bollocking for leaking details too early. Alesha's promo hasn't even kicked off properly yet - she has major promo lined up, the majority of the bigger shows being the week before and the week of release. After 'LGE' was performed on Comic Relief it entered and jumped almost 70 places in one day, on iTunes. It then fell out because she wasn't in the country, the song hadn't been sent to radio and there was no other promo. Also, Alesha isn't mentally unstable like Britney. Bad comparison. I don't understand why people are so pessimistic about everything when everything regarding the 3rd single hasn't even kicked off properly yet. Edited April 3, 200916 yr by adnet

For a start, the radio edits rarely perform very well if the public can buy the album version already. I guess the video will help, since it'll boost airplay, but so far the videos for this era hace just been 'nice', nothing more. I'll be interested in seeing what shows she's doing, I thought the two she did already were fairly decent sized and they didn't have much lasting effect. The comparison with Britney was in regards to the fourth single being cancelled after the third flopped, I acknowledged that it was likely due to Britney being unstable though. Perhaps I am being too pessimistic, but I thought "Breathe Slow" was performed too early and it stuck around on iTunes until the release. As far as I remember this was before the video/song was getting any airplay? I hope this does well for Alesha, LGE is really good, I just don't see it being anywhere near as big as the first two singles.

You can't really expect a massive amount of effort for music videos when the artist has just started out, record companies can be worried that too much money would've gone into a great music video and then have no one buy the single. The videos for Alesha's singles have been very good so far. Maybe if she releases a second single, Warners will let experiment more for concepts of the music videos. Still very excited for 'LGE', She has picked the best songs from the album so far, she has done this very well, which I am really shocked at, considering her floppage before The Alesha Show :o
April 4, 200916 yr Author The thing is Spiral, TBDN was an extremely expensive music video (apparently). It should've been better than the mess it was. Breathe Slow was so dull as well. She's yet to have a great video...

She's yet to have a great video... Expensive :o How, it's a small room with a bunch dancers & edited to be played backwards  I do agree, Breathe Slow was a bit of dull video! it needed to be in colour
April 5, 200916 yr There are better b-side tracks from the album that would of made a better 3rd single then this imo, but just my two cents.
April 6, 200916 yr HIO would have been my choice of the next single but hey, this is a good track... I'm not sure if it'll quite take off like TBDN but I'm sure it'll get a reasonably good response
April 7, 200916 yr Author http://popjustice.com/images/stories/a/aleshaletsgetexcitedsleeve.jpg Her label is massively rubbish on the artwork front. That promo cover is LUSH and yet they give us THIS as the official single cover: http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/4043/letsgetexcited.jpg Embarassing.
April 7, 200916 yr altough the promo is better! the official still isn't bad! I like the foto, just wished the font was pink!
April 7, 200916 yr Meh, both covers are pretty average. This one looks cheaper, but the text placement is much better and less annoying to read. Apart from the annoying bit of hair in her face she looks pretty in this photo. It's more of a "Breathe Slow" cover though, doesn't exactly scream "Let's Get Excited" at me...
April 7, 200916 yr Very meh. I dont like the scenes where she is dancing alone but theres nothing Exciting about it at all :(
