March 26, 200916 yr they may be old fashione dto some i do agree but again europe doesnt bother me at all as they sell enough in the uk to cover all that they sell more in the uk than some acts sell all over europe combined, they have done some promo in europe but not enough to garner big sales so it shows they aint pushing europe to hard, the less prompo they do in europe the more time they have to dit in th euk/ireland which is great for us i suppose.

I think they had to do this promo though to 'test the water'. Sadly it hasn't really turned out as the fans had hoped - as I can't see any future tours outside the UK and Ireland now from the lukewarm reception to The Garden. Norma
March 26, 200916 yr Author The promo isn't helping much in Germany. The Garden peaked at 16 on the itunes chart but has started to drop. Iris - I don't know how much iTunes impacts on your chart but I'm guessing they won't do better than top 40. The story is even worse in Italy, Switzerland and Austria. Norma Actually it was not released officially in Italy, something really weird. They will get also only a digital release - so no hope there will go too well there. I really hope that in Germany the album will have a boost. If the single flopps, i can survive with it as i amat least happy they did promote it this time right. If it doesn't appeal to the german massess, well, it cannot be changed. They selled The Cirucs already half as much BW, so not so bad , i think. Funny, they did make an interview for the TV sender SAT1, at the beginning was a clip abou TT with UAN in it. They ended showing more from UAN than from The Garden (and called it the first single  ). Do you know what they should do? A really small gig, only with a tausend tickets, perhaps less. Let it buzz, let it sound exclusive, make all the people battling for tickets. That would be funny! The german people addore to be between the few having something. The more exclusive and (apparently) "secret" , the better! Or something really extravagante like a street concert or the next video with Heidi Klum. They need some buzz, something extravagant, original, that is all.
March 26, 200916 yr I know I'm a pessimist ... but I can't see anything working to be honest. I do think they've done this promo just to test the water ... and it hasn't worked. They did much more promo for The Garden in Europe than they did for Up All Night in the UK but it did do better. I suppose it doesn't matter how much promotion is put in if the general public don't think the song is up to much. I think UAN would have been a better choice of release for Germany as it is better than The Garden. As you say ... lets hope the album sees a few more sales from it - you'll have to keep us all informed. Norma
March 26, 200916 yr i agree its only testing the water style promo but for it tow ork they needed more plus thhey need huge press radio and tv coverage that all contribued massively to the uk success
