March 24, 200916 yr There was an official top 200 songs of the decade posted in February and when it was updated on 19th March it showed the following: 36 - Rule The World 581,400 50 - Patience 529,250 144 – Shine 345,850 196 - Greatest Day 292,305 I'm assuming sales in the past week or so will have take GD up past the 300,000 mark. I also thought there had been an error on the figure for Shine but I think it has been pretty stagnant just under the 350,000 mark. The figures for RTW and Patience are more or less correct. Norma
March 24, 200916 yr I was sure i read shine had sold 400,000 but maybe it was wishful thinking on my part,i would say rule the world is now on the verge of 600,000 as its remained on the chart i so cant wait to see this certified platnum as platnum singles are rare enough now a days. Greatest day im sure is past 300,000 and it will prob be top 35 this week which should see another 5,000.it will probably sell another 25,000 which is great but again i cant see it selling much over 330,000 but if it sells more i wont complain althoug i do think shine is a million times better than it. I would love to see some interest in pateince again like used on a few tv shows as again i would like to see it go platnum although i would like rule the world to remain the bigger seller of the 2

Sad to say that it seems RTW won't make platinum for some time yet - it is still stuck around the 580,000 (ish) mark. It needs some use on TV programs! Let's hope they use it in the FA Cup Final or something like that!!!!! Mind you ... they'll probably use Greatest Day! Norma Having said that ... on closer inspection ... it is still showing RTW, Patience and Shine on EXACTLY the same figures as the last update ... with only additional sales added for Greatest Day. And I know for a fact that RTW and Patience for sure sold at least a couple of thousand in the meantime! 36 - Rule The World 581,400 51 - Patience 529,250 145 – Shine 345850 191 - Greatest Day 296,185 Edited March 24, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
March 25, 200916 yr rule the world is definitly higher as 2 weeks back it sold well over 3,000 this added to three additional weeks not included at worst would be a total of 6,000 and the chances are that is over 7,000,greatest day should sell between 3,500-4,000 this week which im sure will bring it to 300,000,its also having a steady chart run and will have 20 consecutive weeks with ease, their comeback really has added serious amounts of weeks on chart to their tally and im sure they have climbed that chart for weeks spent in the top 75 alot as on a rough estimate since they reurned they have notched up patience 40 wks shine 42 weeks id wait for life 2 weeks rule the world 66 weeks greatest day 17 weeks+ Shine 7 weeks + never forget 1 week which is a total of 175 weeks and im sure they will add at least 10 more to that with up all night and graetest day,
