Just based on Radio 1's James King's list-

5. Jennifer Lopez and George Clooney in "Out of Sight"

4. Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in "Harry Potter"

3. Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in "Pretty Woman"

2. Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford in "Star Wars"

1. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in "Mr and Mrs Smith"

Who would be on your list?

I know they would be my number 1. And then Patrick Swayze & Jennifer Grey

Surely Bogart and Bacall in "The Big Sleep" has to merit some serious attention.....

And, frankly, after seeing the rather excellent "Duplicity" yesterday, I would say that there was far more chemistry going on between Julia Roberts and Clive Owen than there ever was in "Pretty Woman" with Roberts and Gere..... I always detested that film though, so maybe I'm a bit biased.....

i was expecting that film to get absolutely PANNED  But apparently not :P

Anyway, ive got to say that Edward and Bella from the Twilight movie had a lot of chemistry, very Buffy/Spike/Angel-esque... im REALLY looking forward to the next one later this year

Also, this isnt necesarily a film but originally was made to be a film but Peyton Sawyer and Lucas Scott from One Tree Hill are just  Especially the latest episode "You And Me and The Bottle Makes Three Tonight" (which i believe is a Big Bad Voodoo Daddy song) you really start to get into their relationship

And more recently, the two from Slumdog Millionaire (i cant remember their names) but when i was watching the film i REALLY wanted them to end up together! (Just adding in Benjamin Button here too ^_^)

Precisely why I didn't like "Twilight", because of the rather lame, second rate attempts at a Buffy/Spike or Buffy/Angel relationship... :P

Me and my mates used to joke that Sarah Michelle Gellar was playing Buffy the Vampire Layer when her pattern of shagging "good" vampires was established.....

 you didnt by any chance Write an episode of Friends did you

They done the exact same thing when Pheobe's twin became a porn star and made a film Buffay the Vampire Layer :P

I believe that the Twilight film chemistry is completely different to the one in the book (although i have yet to finish reading 3 months later ). Perhaps the second film may become more revolved around Edward and Bella? Either way by the end of the first film, i was very caught up in the moment when

Edward offered Bella a chance to live forever

Note to self: Stay away from the goo-ey love-y films

Ok it was nothing original but it was a very in-the-moment thing

I'm sorry man, I mean, sure I know that there's nothing really "original" these days, but "Twilight" sails pretty close to actually plagiarising the likes of Ann Rice, Poppy Brite and Joss Whedon at least on an intellectual level.... What I'm really doing with my criticisms is trying to steer people in the direction of the originators of this sub-type of fiction, and frankly, there's just no comparison on a literary level between "Twilight" and "Interview with the Vampire/Vampire Lestat/Queen of the Damned", the latter trilogy is simply vastly superior both as fiction and as literature, imo.....

It's a bit like Fall Out Boy/Good Charlotte > The Cure/The Smiths.......

  • 5 weeks later...

Troy and Gabriella ftw

In all seriousness, they're not a couple, but the relationship between Bruno and Shmuel in The Boy In Striped Pyjama's just makes me
