It's OK, but not overly commercial like Spirit. It was a demo album, so it's not great.

I'll still always love urban leaning Leona, though. I'm hoping we'll see more personality in her sophomore effort. Whatever though, as long as she's singing, I'll support her.

I don't like it. Far too urban and generic. None of the songs show off her voice at all.

i've just seen an advert for this durign gmtv and i thought it was her new album when i first heard saw it but then i went to the website that it directs you to and found out that it's just old tracks. i can bet you quite a lot of people are gonna buy that album thinking that it's her new one though..

Yup they're misleading people with their advertising saying it's a new album. Shouldn't be allowed to do that.

Lewis album ad banned by watchdog

Rex Features

A TV commercial for Leona Lewis album Best Kept Secret has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority in the UK.

The record, which includes a collection of songs recorded before Lewis won The X Factor in 2006, was released by London-based label UEG Music in January.

The watchdog claimed that the advert was "likely to mislead viewers" because it includes just seven songs that were not previously available, according to PA.

"Although we acknowledged that the CD itself was 'new', we considered that the claim 'Leona Lewis's new album' misleadingly implied it was the singer's latest recording rather than a new CD of tracks recorded some years ago," the ASA said in a statement.

Lewis's lawyers previously tried to stop UEG Music releasing the record, claiming that she had not given her consent.

However, the label insisted that it has the rights to the record and that Lewis would receive a 50% share in the profits.

Lewis releases new single 'Happy' on November 8. Her album Echo will follow on November 16.
