GERMANY: She's back again

The legendary singer Vicky Leandros debuted this week at No. 78 with a new single "Moge Der Himmel". It's her 35th chart hit since 1965. Her previous song "Don't Break My Heart" peaked at No. 69 in 2006.

In 1972 she represented Luxembourg and won the Eurovision Song Contest with a song "Apres Toi", which peaked at No. 11 on the German chart. In 1974 she had a No. 1 hit "Theo, Wir Fahr'n Nach Lodz".

NORWAY: The new chart record

Alexander Rybak with a song "Fairytale", which will represent Norway in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, is the 6th week at No. 1.

But this time it's not just another week on the first place, but also a new record of most weeks at number one for the Norwegian ESC entry. The previous record from 31 years belonged to Jahn Teigen with a song "Mil Etter Mil".

Here is a list of all Norwegian ESC songs that appeared on the singles chart and their highest positions. Of the 48 songs, which Norway has sent to the ESC since 1960, on the chart were 23 songs performed by:

09 - Alexander Rybak - 1 - 6 wks

78 - Jahn Teigen - 1 - 5 wks

80 - Sverre Kjelsberg & Mattis Hatta - 1 - 4 wks

69 - Kirsti Sparboe - 1 - 4 wks

05 - Wig Wam - 1 - 3 wks

08 - Maria Haukaas Storeng - 1 - 1 wk

85 - Bobbysocks - 1 - 1 wk

83 - Jahn Teigen - 2

00 - Charmed - 3

99 - Van Eijk - 3

94 - Elisabeth Andreasson & Jan Werner Danielsen - 3

82 - Jahn Teigen & Anita Skorgan - 3

81 - Finn Kalvik - 3

77 - Anita Skorgan - 4

01 - Haldor Lagreid - 5

86 - Ketil Stokkan - 5

71 - Hanne Krog - 5

60 - Nora Brockstedt - 5

79 - Anita Skorgan - 6

65 - Kirsti Sparboe - 7

03 - Jostein Hasselgard - 12

96 - Elisabeth Andreassen - 13

04 - Knut Anders Sorum - 20

In 1978 Jahn Teigen did not get any point at the ESC and then the second time in history Norway took the last place in the competition.

Elisabeth Andreasson from 1994 and Elisabeth Andreassen from 1996 is the same woman who changed the last name after marriage. She was also a half of the duo Bobbysocks who won the ESC in 1985 with a song "La Det Swinge".

In 1995 the Secret Garden has not issued in their country a single with the ESC winning song "Nocturne", but this composition was on the album "Songs From A Secret Garden", which was for a week on the first place of the albums chart.
