I was only really half-watching this, because frankly I had better things to do... I was in a hotel in Leeds at a Goth music festival, getting ready to go out to the club night that was in the Hotel bar/lounge area, and it was kind of just "on" as I was getting ready... Frankly it certainly took no kind of concentration whatsoever to get into, it was lightweight, inconsequential, the TV version of wall-paper or that annoying piped-in Muzak that zombifies you while you're in a shopping centre..... It was nothing, it wasn't even particularly interesting... I was frankly more interested in painting my nails than actually watching the damn thing...

Michelle Ryan - her usual pretty, but bland, I really dont get all the bumming for this shockingly average actress... I perhaps would have paid far more attention had her part been played by someone like Zoe Tapper or Emily Blunt, two actresses who can actually make you sit up and take notice when they're on a screen as opposed to just make you carry on painting your nails  ......Sorry, Ryan is dullness personified, she's not even interesting enough to hate.....

The script was just dull, dull, DULL..... Absolutely nothing to even warrant attention or give you the "WOOOAAAAAHHHHHH" quality..... Typical RTD blandness... The sooner Steve Moffat takes over the better..... But then, Moffat taking over means we have the other dull nonentity that is Matt Smith playing the Doctor.... Jeez, cant we just give Dave Tenant a blank cheque to convince him to stay.....?

Unsurprisingly, this generations Lysette Anthony: Michelle Ryan

Good description Rich....

And like Lysette, Michelle went to the States and failed miserably to make any kind of impact, starring in one high profile TV show which was so bad it got yanked off the air before it even got halfway through its first season......

Whereas the likes of Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies and two up-coming high profile films - Land of the Lost and Angel Makers), Thandie Newton (BAFTA winner for Crash, been in loads of films, and currently in ER..) and Gabrielle Anwar (the fantastic Fiona from the exceedingly cool spy drama "Burn Notice") have all been doing considerably better.....

The new Doctor Who series is absolutely amazing. David is amazing and so are his companions. Donna Noble and David have great chemistry and the show is extremely cutting edge in its non-violent philosophy and sense of scope - the size of the universe, of time, the fate of humanity. I especially loved the most recent episode, The Stolen Earth. This episode featured several of the companions of the doctor, such as Captain Jack , Rose, Martha, Gwen, etc. I also recommend the spin off series to Doctor Who. This is a must watch for anyone interested in fantasy or science fiction.

Hate to break this to you, but "the new Doctor Who series" ended in July 08.

And there's been three episodes since "the most recent episode, The Stolen Earth".

For spin-off series, which one: "Torchwood" (which I do watch) or "The Sarah Jane Adventures" (which I don't)?

The post you are quoting was orginally an advert for a site which sells DVDs, I've removed all of the links he posted. Now he just looks a bit stupid. And he probably won't reply :P
