Kidz is also very underrated because of its peak, but it has a fantastically strong bridge and chorus

With its return to the top 75 this week - RTW has now notched up 184 weeks in the chart! See! I still give TT credit where its due!

No one can begrudge what a brilliant song rule the world is and the great success it has achieved, even you cant take away that Kath!!!Im always delighted to see it on the chart, im hoping music week might give its total sales this week, im hoping its near 900,000 now.

As for kidz its a good song, certainly not their best but one of the better songs on progress/progressed, i still would put the flood, love love, eight letters and happy now well well above though.

There is no way Kath can argue that one nor Kath can you say it is not a well written song.

I've never denied that RTW was and is an excellent song. Its possibly one of the best pop songs ever.

Glad we all agree on this, i always find it strange i have never tired of the song, i loved it at the start then loved loved it and still do, its definitly a classic.

A classic i do agree. I probably dont love it as much as you Aphrodite as i tired of it for a little while but the Olympics rejuveneted my love for it all over again.

It's just a great song, pure and simple. The lyrics are strong, the music and instrumentals are fantastic, overall it is a song that will be played for decades to come.

I can also see Patience, Shine, GD and The Flood being played in decades to come like Pray, BFG, Never Forget, Million Love Songs are played today despite being release as far back as 20 years ago for some

I would agree with the songs you listed as songs that will be played in the future, although Pray is not a song i ever hear on the radio whereas the others i do often hear through various times.
Greatest Day is so underrated and I don't understand why at all. It's a stunning track imo and just as good as Rule The World.
Rule the world is the best thing they have released since getting back together. The flood would be my next choice and then patience.

I agree about the flood and rule the world, even though greatest day doesnt rate among my faves i totally understand why others may love it, it was very different to what people expected and in some ways has a different sound to what you would expect from a take that single and possibly appealed to different people outside the usual fan base.

I agree reach out would have made a far better single than id wait for life and i am positive it would have sold more aswell.
Their single choices from Progress(ed) has been flawless imo but none of the songs match Shine.

Reach Out was released in Europe as the 3rd single instead of Id Wait For Life. It was due to be released in the UK as the next single but Rule The World was written and so the Reach Out UK release was shelved. I actually really enjoy listening to that song, in fact with Reach Out, The Garden and The Flood TT have always had a fantastic opening album track.

Shine is a great single but Up All Night and Kidz are just as good musically although their chart positions may not show it

Shine and up all night are both excellent although ts such a shame that up all night didnt manage the same success as shine did.
In my opinion Up all night would have been an ideal lead single from the Circus and it would have performed much better, i do believe Greatest Day would have performed better than Up all Night as a 2nd single, by that i mean, greatest day would not have done aswell has it has done but it would have sold over 200,000 even as second single.
Hmm I think Greatest Day was the best song they could have chosen for a lead single. Not because the album was weak but because it sounds epic musically and ticks all the airplay boxes that would ensure it got the exposure it needed.
