But the Arena's right down by the river, on it's own, and up a big flight of steps! I know - there's a little shop you went to "just round the corner" - and you just happened to walk past the front of the Arena. Or of course you could have been booking for something else! Must admit it's nice to see Will's name outside any theatre or arena. :D Even better when it's sold out!

What a lovely sight chrysalis. :yahoo:

Was on a bit of a Will fact finding mission today. I'm absolutely hopeless with directions so hubby who works in Newcastle took me through in the car & we went past the Arena & located the Travel Lodge as I've decided to stay over with my Devoted friends. Finished off with a lovely walk along the quayside taking in the view of the Sage (praying that one day Will will perform there) & Malmaison where he usually stays when in Newcastle.

Glad you had a great day in Newcastle TT. Piccie a bit dark, but a reminder of the Sage (and Baltic building). Maybe - one day :funky:

What's the Sage building then?

The Sage is a purpose-built music and arts centre by the River Tyne in Gateshead. I'm sure JB has performed there. It has brilliant acoustics & would be ideal for an intimate gig from our man.

Here's a link to the website suggy.

He's performed outside this building though hasn't he, when he did the TOTP gig

It has a few rooms suugy but the largest holds around 1600.

Munchkin he did perform nearby on the Gateshead quayside for TOTP alfresco. Still kick myself for not going but by the time he was announced as performing all the tickets were gone. Didn't thgink about going & standing omn the millemium bridge.

Thank's TT, I think there'd be a bit of a scramble for the tickets wouldn't there? blood would be spilled.

It sure would & I might be spilling it if I didn't manage to get a ticket.

Really would be great if he could make the Sage at some time. After all we up here rarely get the chance to see him without having to travel to the other end of the country. And if he did appear there woe betide if I didn't get a ticket. http://www.smileypad.com/v202/Cache/Angry/PutEmUp.gif

Think I'd camp out all night to make sure chrysalis. As you say Will rarely visits our neck of the woods so a ticket would be a must.

There is a little bit in the Stella magazine in today's Telegraph about the Puppini Sisters.

They sound OK and I am looking forward to seeing them in September.

Thanks Dot, I think Will's got two decent support acts this time and I'll probably spend less time in the bar on this tour. :D
I will watch them the first time then I will probably be in the bar for the rest of the tour :P
The Puppini Sisters are no longer supporting, they pulled out
