It wasn't confirmed, it was a rumour. I got excited when I heard about it, but the only stories I can see about it are from...April Fools Day. :(

 

I really doubt it will happen, do the girls still get on? Why would the label decide 4 years later that they still need another album?

i read solanges twitter to perezhilton and she said they still owe one album to Columbia so i guess its true!

You realise the ones beginning with "@solangeknowles" are Perez and vice versa? Seems like Solange hasn't got a clue and Perez was being a know it all.

 

It'd be AMAZING if they did another album, but I'm just all a bit unsure. They could have picked a better day to announce it that April Fools Day:

I can find any proper mention of it before the 1st. I think even if there is another album it'll be a remix album or an extremely cheap Greatest Hits. Various bits of press would suggest that there's some tension between some of the girls, or at least some of the girls and Beyoncé's father and sister. What with Kelly firing Mathew and parting with Colombia (though as a solo artist :thinking:) it seems a bit weird.

 

Let's just say I'm not gonna get too excited about it until something more official comes along, on a day that isn't April 1st.

Yes the "@solangeknowles" means it's a message directed, well, at Solange Knowles. Solange seems to be as 'in-the-know' about it as we are (though it could be a front) Perez is the one with all the 'facts'.

 

Saying that, it could be true. Apparently when Kelly parted with the label it was specific to her solo career and mentioned that she had other projects with them?? (not sure if that's true, it seems to be what all the people who believe this are saying)

Rowland rules out Destiny's Child reunion

 

Kelly Rowland has denied that she and former Destiny's Child bandmates Beyoncé Knowles and Michelle Williams are working on another album.

 

The 'Work' singer encouraged fans to ignore the reports and insisted that the trio, who split in 2005, are concentrating on their solo careers.

 

Rowland told the New York Post's PopWrap blog: "There is no Destiny's Child album in the works. None of us have talked about an album or anything. And until we do, no-one else should worry about it. Simmer down now!"

 

Rowland's ex bandmate Williams recently announced that she will be playing the role of Roxie Hart in London's West End production of Chicago.
