Today Goody has finally disappeared from the Yahoo front page for the first time in about 4days.

 

I take it the second coming of Jesus has occurred today then..... :lol: :lol:

 

Indeed :lol: It's been replaced by real stories like the disappearance of a NT man in a croc infested river. Somethin about the actual jesus christ, Rudd condemning Fiji for renouncing their constitution, Well the president. And Osama been found not guilty of 9/11 by a dutch tv jury and audience.

Michael Parkinson is a tired, decrepit old northern bore who's only, litrerally ONLY claim to fame is loitering round our TV screens for waaaay too long interviewing (extremely badly) his own personal selection of media types...oh, and for foisting his unbearably MOR Michael Buble style muzak upon us... both on radio AND his thankfully defunct TV show. It is HE that epitomised all that was wrong with a TV interviewer... he was a smug, self-satisfied, tedious interviewer who appeared to truly believe his own publicity.

 

Saying this, I think his comments re. Jade Goody have been totally takjen out of context.... he was attacking the MEDIA - NOT Jade Goody. And the media deserve to be attacked over the whole issue - especially The Scum who only two years ago proclaimed Goody the most hated woman in Bristain... the 'Face of Hate'.... and who can forget their hideous 'Pig Face' headlines when Goody was on BB? Roll onto 2009, and the rancid rats at the Scum are trying to turn Jade into Mother Teresa for the Poundstretchers brigade. Sorry - won't work.

 

I was as sad as anyone should be over the death of a young mother..... and love her or loathe her, Goody was always priceless entertainment, but the UK media have truly shown themselves up over this whole matter.

 

It doesn't take a brain scientist to realise the tide will soon turn.... Jack Tweed will have his life torn apart by the very people who were bowing at the altar of his wife - he'll be hounded until he'll wish it was him in the ground not his wife..... whether it be a month or 5 years from now when he meets another partner.... the papers will be down on him like a ton of bricks.

 

Whilst I truly feel sorry for Jackiey Budden, Goody's mother, it does seem a little insensitive to be photographed daily parading round in her daughter's clothes..... I can't imagine her having the funds for so many different designer sunglasses, let's put it that way. I've never seen the woman so well-dressed.

 

So on this one, I agree with the vile Parkinson..... as for Will Self, has there ever been a more hilarious, pompous and utterly banal man as him? His surname is laughably apt. He personnifies tedium.... and his writing, as ever, is needlessly waffly, overblown and pretentious.

 

 

 

I agree with him fully, but I don't think it was the right time to put it out there like that.

Not to me she wasn't..... Jade Goody was nothing more than a stupid, ignorant sack of skin... But in saying that, ignorant was really all she was.... The people (ie, Endemol and Living TV) who put her out there to be poked fun of, ridiculed and pitied are the worst types of scum imaginable..... A bunch of middle-class w/ankers who basically played the game of "laugh at the stupid prole" for all it was worth...

 

...And it sure worth a lot to them..... Max Clifford got his two hundred thousand pieces of silver out of it as well..... <_<

 

Jack Tweed deserves everything he gets frankly, I cant believe you actually seem to feel sorry for him... He's nothing more than a thug who frankly should still be in prison on an assault charge... God, I mean, he half killed a young lad with a bloody golf-club..... And now he's actually responsible for "managing" the future of two impressionable kids who should have their futures managed by their natural father, not some junkie lowlife who their mother "married" on a whim to make money off tabloids.....

Well they should be now. I saw on the news today that he's been jailed for...12 weeks for attacking a cabbie and threatening to stab him:

 

Tweed, 21, was convicted of attacking Stephen Wilkins last month following a trial before magistrates in Epping, Essex.

 

He was due to be sentenced on March 26 but the date was put back until April 14 to allow Tweed to spend time with his dying wife Goody and attend her funeral.

 

During the trial magistrates heard Tweed grabbed taxi driver Stephen Wilkins around the throat and threatened to stab him as he drove the cab last May.

 

An altercation was said to have arisen after the driver asked for the £50 fare to be paid in advance when Tweed, another male passenger and two women hired the cab after leaving a nightclub at 3am.

 

Magistrates also heard that Tweed attempted to apply the hand brake while the car was moving.

 

The attack only stopped when another taxi driver drew up alongside, and Tweed was later arrested by police at the scene.

 

Tweed admitted he had been drinking all day and accepted his behaviour had been rowdy and reprehensible, but denied any memory of threatening violence.

 

In September he was jailed for attacking a 16-year-old with a golf club in December 2006. But he served just a third of his sentenced and was released in January.

 

The 21-year-old married Goody, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, in a highly publicised ceremony in March.

 

He currently wears a tag and has to observe a curfew following his conviction for the earlier offence, conditions temporarily lifted by the justice secretary, Jack Straw, to allow him to spend his wedding night with Goody.

 

He seems quite a vile person really.
