Posted April 7, 200916 yr I got the 'Radio Times', (UK TV Magazine) today, & here are the Channel 5 ABBA TV Programmes for Easter Sunday - 12th April:, (Any Fans not in the UK, will probably find the 2 New Shows on YouTube, sometime in the near future). 1) 9PM - THE ABBA YEARS (NEW) (1 Hour Long) Abba Night begins with a documentary charting the story of the Swedish group who took the Eurovision Song Contest by storm in April 1974 with an upbeat song called 'Waterloo'. 2) 10PM - MAMMA MIA!: WHERE DID IT ALL GO RIGHT? (NEW) (1 Hour Long) Documentary about the phenomenal success of the musical 'Mamma Mia!', examining how the three women behind the film version battled powerful individuals in Hollywood to make their dream a reality and obtain the cast they wanted. 3) 11.05PM - ABBA THE MOVIE (1 Hour 45 Minutes Long) Music documentary drama about one of the world's most successful pop groups. As the Swedish superstars tour Australia, performing many of their greatest hits, a Sydney disc jockey tries desperately to secure an interview with them.
April 11, 200916 yr I love ABBA - but surely there's more interesting things to show about them than a docu on the awful Mamma Mia? The Movie's worth watching.... but the rest? Channel 5 should try harder.
