April 11, 200916 yr Yeah, Rihanna is definitely not an R&B artist. Alicia Keys, Luther Vandross, Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men are probably my all time favourite R&B acts. A lot of Mariah's stuff is considered pop, which is false. She's been an R&B artist from the beginning, even though she's released a number of pop songs. Brandy, Mary J & Keyshia Cole are up there too.
