I thought I'd start something to discuss in this dead forum, other than the annoying games. What are your top 3 favourite Evanescence album tracks, and, why?

 

1. Lose Control

This is such an underrated song, it is f***ing epic, the music and guitar is one of the best I've ever heard and accompanied by Amy's haunting voice, this song just gives me goosebumps. Would have made a perfect underground single choice, loved the cross over back to their more metal roots when they released 'The Open Door' after the commercialized 'Fallen' era.

 

2. Imaginary

Again, another underrated song, but even more goosebumpful on the 'Anywhere But Home' compilation. This song is so deep, and Amy really pours out emotion into it both live and on the album.

 

3. Snow White Queen

Another amazingly eery and haunting song. Emotional to a large degree and one of the more catchier tracks from 'The Open Door'. Love the intro and outro music, as well as the immense choruses. It really is one of THE most perfect songs actually, ever. <3

"The Only One".... Bloody fantastic tune.... The way it just builds up after a quiet piano-led start and just completely rocks out with a pretty impressive riff and some powerhouse drumming as well....... Worthy of Within Temptation or Nightwish that one..... :thumbup:

 

"Snow White Queen" - totally with Kathh on that one...

 

"Further Away" - Technically a demo, it never made it onto an album, but it really sounds great, and I really dunno why it was left off of "Fallen", would almost certainly have been one of that album's high points... Probably the best of Ev's "lost" songs.....

1. Everybody's Fool - LEGENDARY CHOON. It's one that I can never get tired of. One of the highlights of the 00s music scene for me. :thumbup:

 

2. The Only One - It's amazing. It's an absolute ripper of a song and one that you play when you're really pissed off... or maybe that's just me. :P :kink:

 

3. Tourniquet - This brings me back. Not exactly a happen tune for me, especially the ending which is just mucho depressing, but still epic.

 

"Farther Away" is amazing, and comes 4th of my favourites, followed by "Lithium" and "My Immortal" taking the 5th and 6th spot respectively.
