May 8, 200916 yr Author One more single and they will break up :lol:their going no where they are still selling out Arenas and are still very happy with the new album coming out and the rest of their sold out dates in Brazil,Japan,Amsterdam and mexico coming up and the fact they are on their own label their here to stay
May 8, 200916 yr it's not an official single but can be downloaded on Itunes It has an official video, it's been added to radio 1 playlist and other stations, and they promoted it several times on TV... It IS a single  Lots of singles don't have a physical release, they're still "singles". Edited May 8, 200916 yr by Bert for Lashes
May 8, 200916 yr yeh they've got another flop album coming out at the end of the year. That will be the test to see if that free album give away did anything for them. Which i don't think it did.
May 10, 200916 yr To all of you who are saying "McFly are $h!t" or "Its going to be a flop, mcfly should break up" seening as how you went to the trouble of posting such an aimless reply, would you please take the time to read this : http://piratemoggy.livejournal.com/367220.html It's quite long so there's no need to read the entire thing by just reading a few of the paragraphs you should get the drift of the piece. To those of you who can't be arsed to read it here is some advice: By just entering this thread you are emersing yourselfs in the music of the band, i understand that their will be people who disfavour the music of McFly, this is true for any band, for a band who is liked by every single person on the planet would surley be a perfect one, and in my knowledge such a band or artist doesn't exist. Even i, who has a very open minded approach to all types of music hold a dislike for many bands and for that reson only, and it is a very addiquate one, i tend to not involve myself in anything to do with that band, that includes not listing to their music and avoiding anything including any topics that may be about them. It is a very good plan and one that is genrally sucessful most of the time, It means that i don't have to listen to any music that i may dislike and therefore my resentment towards the band is kept at a minimum, i certainly don't wish for any band to break up or their singles to do badly just becasue their music doesn't suit my taste. There are many people who appreciate McFly's music and as this is a music forum assuredly peoples music tastes should be respected. Music is not forced upon a person and it is easy to avoid any certain type of music I cant see the sense in intentionally involving yourself in a band you don't like, McFly's music is obviously distressing a few people on this thread, my suggestion is swallow your pretentiousness and elitist and get over it.
May 10, 200916 yr this is an open forum and people are allowed to put that they dislike a song or a band.
May 11, 200916 yr Author Everyone is allowed an opinion yes But for some people to say Mcfly have no talent is just wrong Tom is 23 the rest are younger then him and yet they all seem tobe able to play guitar, drums, piano and more as well as produce their own songs in their own studio not to mention having no backing from a label now that they are on their own. Yes Mcfly's singles/album sales are not great but it's the Tours that count and Mcfly manage to still sell out the Big Arenas Just bought mcfly's new live at Wembley dvd and it just shows how brilliant they really are they put so much money and effort into their Concerts whille watching the DVD i had noticed that there are very few little kids in the Arena Most of the guys and girls are 14+ but then i guess thats why they do standing gigs now. Ithink 2009 will see a new era for Mcfly they have gotten off to a good start with a number sell out shows in Brazil, mexico, japan,Amsterdam,Australia and when they were with Island records they didn't really leave the UK and by the Looks of things 'Falling in Love' seems tobe doing well on Downloads even though most of their fans have the song on The album and the free album so it seems tome people outside of their fanbase are buying their stuff at long last
May 12, 200916 yr "this is an open forum and people are allowed to put that they dislike a song or a band." I was a bit OTT. But if i went into a topic about a band who you like like The Sugababes and they'd just theoretically released a new single, , and said "Don't like their music, never had hope it's a flop and that'll be the end of them." Then you would probably be a little riled. Just to clarify i know you didn't say anything along those lines im just using it as an example of why i was so obstinate, and maybe a bit personally offended. Plus i wasn't in the best of moods that day, so sorry if i came across as being nescient, obviously, not everyone is going to like a band, i just think it would be appreciated if people respected others musical tastes a little more. May 12, 200916 yr i tend to not involve myself in anything to do with that band, that includes not listing to their music and avoiding anything including any topics that may be about them. What a bold and stupid statement :o It's nothing but shortness of mind. There're bands I don't like at first, but then they release new material and I love them. It is stupid to fully stop to follow a band news just because you didn't like their first single :S

If you said that about them all i'd be mad about is that you put THE Sugababes. lol. I actually quite like McFly and think this era has been horrendous apart from Lies. I think they will do 1 more album this year and if it doesn't do to well they might split and then start looking for other acts to sign.

I think they will do 1 more album this year and if it doesn't do to well they might split and then start looking for other acts to sign. They won't split not only do they enjoy it but they are the best of freinds and yes even if their album flops they still sell-out big arena Tours which is where they get their money and they know that as they have mentioned it a few times For the first time since they started 5 years ago they have gone to other places around the world something their label wouldn't let them do They have had a number of sell out concerts in Japan,Brazil,Mexico,Amsterdam and Australia and they have a few more coming up plus a lot of sold out Uk summer shows so really having an album that flops will hardly affect them as they are making their money via concerts they have just had a 14 date sell out Uk Small venues tour and Planning an Uk Arena Tour for the end of the year too As for this era There are much better songs on the album then 'Lies' its just for some stupid reason they released the worst song they have ever done'Do ya' i think with the next album they will choose the right songs Edited May 12, 200916 yr by itsme123

I've read the article, it's very interesting, thank you very much for posting! I think, the author is right about McFly guys. In my country we can't often hear about them, and people appreciate them as musicians, not as four cute guys. Many of people who are much older than me, admit that the guys are really good especially considering their young age. And I could second your words about the bands I dislike. If I don't like something I try not to get involved in anything related to it. I'd better spend my time admiring something that I DO like.
May 13, 200916 yr As for this era There are much better songs on the album then 'Lies' its just for some stupid reason they released the worst song they have ever done'Do ya' i think with the next album they will choose the right songs Oh, i gave up hoping that they'll learn to choose good songs for singles LOL. They just seem to joke choosing Do ya, but I didn't find it funny at all <_< Hope next single will be a breakthrough  P.S. congratulations with you're new DVD!! Is it good? :teresa: I'll have to wait for no less than month to buy it(( Online shops in the UK don't deliver things to my country...

I just hope it will soon be available at german amazon, and I'll be able to order it through my friend who lives there) For me the best McFly dvd so far is Wonderland, but I just have to see a new one :cheer: Brazilian are lucky people, they've got so much McFly recently  I'd be happy just to hear them on the local radio stations. I live in Ukraine, in a loser-city called Dnipropetrovsk (which was forbidden to play host at Euro 2012  ), not interesting lol) Sorry for offtopic

May 15, 200916 yr Author Heres the review to Mcfly's Radio:ACTIVE tour live at wembley(ASDA offer £7.00 this week) McFly at Wembley - an essential live DVD? Friday, 15 May 2009 13:01 McFly at Wembley - an essential live DVD? Printer friendly version Rob Hurst on a surprisingly and stellar Wembley show from McFly, captured on their Radio: Active live DVD. Thanks to a last minute free ticket, I was an audience member for the show captured on this DVD, the final night of the Radio:Active tour at Wembley Arena. In all honesty, I wasn't expecting to enjoy myself much, just to tag along for a semi-ironic sing-along and drink some overpriced beer... However, it. Was. Brilliant. I've been waiting for this DVD forever (or at least it feels like it!) so was thrilled to finally see a release date and get hold of a copy to re-live my McFly awakening. It doesn't disappoint. My previous experience of McFly had been radio-friendly singles (seven number one singles and a further six landing in the top three) so I knew the melodies and a few choruses but the live show is a far cry from the recordings with pounding drums, chugging bass and huge guitar melodies – I was transfixed from the set's opening track, One For The Radio, the first single from their Radio:ACTIVE album. The sound translates very well into the recordings effectively transporting me back to the footage captures much of the excitement of the show but struggles at times to capture the energy of the fans, who spent the entire show either screaming or singing along. Other highlights of the performance include single, Obviously, a cover of Michael Jackson's Black or White and Star Girl which saw the band climb aboard a flying stage that half-way through the song carried them over the crowd's heads into the centre of the arena for the next three tracks. The show's closing number Five Colours In Her Hair clears up any misconception that McFly don't deserve their success, with the mature, polished performance a far cry from the fresh-faced pop-tastic official video shot in 2004. The DVD also offers a documentary filmed on the tour featuring interviews with the band and clips from all the regional shows offering fans the chance to see a little of whichever show they attended themselves, which is a nice touch. The boys are very likeable and the documentary makes interesting viewing although a few scenes featuring drinking, hangovers and other adult behaviour are possibly slightly concerning in a DVD likely to be purchased for a lot of children. As with all self-commissioned tour/band documentaries the lovey-dovey, best friends relationship the band share is the main focus but credit where it's due the boys look to be enjoying themselves and their recent departure from Island Records seems to have lifted a weight off their collective shoulders allowing the band more freedom to explore their creativity and in the words of Tom Fletcher: "It's our best tour yet." The DVD is a short on any other features with the only offering being the documentary but the show itself runs to around 90 minutes so should leave most satisfied, although I feel a couple of music videos wouldn't have gone amiss. Overall I don't think this DVD will win the band any new fans but anyone lucky enough to have seen the band live will thoroughly enjoy the whole affair and anyone who hasn't - I suggest you check them out when they return from Latin America to rock the Isle Of Wight later this summer.
