April 27, 200916 yr I'm pretty confident she won't do well... actually it never entered my mind that she could be a solo success, and that goes for all of the girls. I'd probably like/love her solo stuff and she'd have at least one hit but she can't sing as well as most of the Spice Girls and they couldn't maintain success on their own either...
April 27, 200916 yr She has a decent voice but she's just not strong enough to be a solo artist imo but she's blatantly gonna be quite successful at least for short periods.. Considering Nadine isn't very comfortable doing TV stuff I doubt she'd really last let alone want to do it in the first place so the one I would really like to do well as a solo artist would be Nicola. Sarah's voice is horrible and Kimberleh's voice isn't strong enough to be a solo artist imo.
April 30, 200916 yr i think cheryl sounded amazing in manchester her vocals are much stronger than she gets credit for, she also has a distinct voice... she will only release material she knows and is confident will be highly praised, there would be no reason to release the album otherwise she is doing too well else where!
April 30, 200916 yr I can't wait to hear it  As long as the new GA album does arrive later next year. And completely off topic, I have FIFA 09 now ;)
April 30, 200916 yr I'm getting so so so excited about this solo album! I'm anticipating it even more than I was anticipating "Out of control" I think! It's very exciting because we don't know at all what we can expect from it sound-wise. And a GA release is kind of a routine now, while launching Cheryl solo music project will be something very new and different I guess! It will probably be kind of r'n'b oriented, which is great because r'n'b has grown on me a lot for the last few months (Shontelle, Beyonce, Brandy, Ne-yo and now Ciara  ). ^_^ I'd love Will.i.am and Ne-yo to write songs for her! And Kanye of course, but that may be a bit too much to ask yet :P Edited April 30, 200916 yr by Bert for Lashes
May 1, 200916 yr Or maybe we're gonna get a new version with Cheryl only :cheer: I want Ne-yo to write her a ballad too !
May 2, 200916 yr She's doing it the same way as Victoria though :o Vicki B Married To David - Cheryl Married To Whats his name Victoria's first single was a duo with Dane Bowers (Out Of Your Mind) - Cheryl's first single was with will.i.am (Heartbreaker) [both top 5 Hits] So I expect a R&B/Dance track to be the first release from the new album - which will do OK
May 24, 200916 yr Apparently the Frankmusic collaboration is for real ! CHERYL Cole will be sticking to her pop roots for her forthcoming solo album despite talk of her slipping down the R&B route. The Girls Aloud lovely is planning to record alone during the band’s break after their current Out Of Control tour ends. Rising dance star Frankmusik, real name Vincent Frank, is working on some tunes for Cheryl and confirmed: “I will absolutely keep with the pop theme. “I want to see how much of Cheryl’s personality I can bring across through the music. I want it to be honest and not to sound too manufactured. “Working with songs and grafting them to a point where they are undeniably solid is what I love.” And Cheryl, 25, had better be prepared for some words of wisdom as Vincent warned his nan might stick her oar into their collaborations. He said: “I get everyone to come to my studio in Thornton Heath in Croydon and they have to say hello to my nan first. It really breaks down any barriers that people may have.” Frankmusik, whose new single Confusion Girl is out in July, plans to show Cheryl the sights of Croydon. The 23-year-old, who will support The Ting Tings at Ibiza Rocks in June, said: “I’ll show Cheryl my favourite kebab shop, the pond which is now being filled in with concrete, and all the drunk people in the parks. “I think that will be enough for any girl. She might want to ditch Ashley after that and move in with me.” Easy tiger. Source: Daily Star That would mean no r'n'b album for Cheryl, but a solid pop album :o
May 25, 200916 yr crazy fool is my fav girls aloud (though cheryl song) b-side/none single! if her album can follow that direction fine with me. cheryl will have success solo a) because she wouldnt dare release anything but the best material, she has no reason to! B) she will launch with x factor c) she is so damn popular at the moment u cant compare her popularity to any of the solo spices
June 23, 200916 yr Ooh, interesting: will.i.am has predicted that Cheryl Cole's solo album will be a worldwide hit. The Black Eyed Peas star, who released 'Heartbreaker' with Cole last year, has been working on a number of songs for her record and hailed her talent. "We started off with a really mega tune and now the bar is set high," he told thelondonpaper. "We did two songs and we're getting back together to do two more in July. Cheryl is a sweetheart, I really like working with her. We did this one song and it was "wow. It was great. "I didn't want to play it for anybody in our group or our record company because they would have said, 'Why don't we do that song?' It's a big big record. It's a beautiful song and she sang it great. "That's a clue of how to make Cheryl dope all over the world - by being creative with infectious melodies." Previous reports suggested that Cole was eager to produce an R&B-inspired album, akin to artists like Beyoncé and Mary J. Blige. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a161584/...global-hit.html
June 23, 200916 yr I have no problem at all if she does well but for me personnaly this album doesnt excit me me as r n b is so not my thing
July 2, 200916 yr I meant i'm not liking the thought of hearing Cheryl Cole singing live on the X factor solo :| shes not a strong singer.. but i love her :)
July 3, 200916 yr I hope she does really well. It would really damage her credibility and Girls Aloud's credibility if this isn't a success imo.
