Thanks for this BYM&Ms - just been reading it over on D. Another one for him to conquer

Thanks BYM+M's. Really pleased for Will, knowing how he loves his festival appearances. :D

There's itv2 coverage. So just hoping that extends to the Bicg Top Stage or we get an acoustic performance.

Another Live Date with Will!

Wednesday 22 April 2009

We’ve got some exciting news on another live date featuring Will, details of which will be announced on Absolute Radio from 8.20pm tonight.

Or you can keep stopping by here to Will’s site for an official announcement a little later

Thanks BYM+M's thought it would be correct & the OS had just jumped the gun. :)

When we know the exact date I'll add it to the Events thread & Will's news page.

They usually have some footage on local television during the Festival week. I won't be going as I cannot afford it. I will go to my sisters and hang out the window! No, not really. :D

They don't do day tickets anymore which is a pain.

Will Young and McFly have become the latest acts confirmed to play at the Isle Of Wight festival.

The 'Grace' singer and boyband will each perform on the Big Top stage at the event, which takes place between June 12 and June 14.

Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Razorlight and the Stereophonics have previously been confirmed, and Neil Young will play the final set on Sunday night.

Alesha Dixon and Ladyhawke will join Bananarama, The Noisettes and Beverley Knight for the "ultimate girls' night out" at Friday's Big Top on June 12.

The Isle of Wight festival takes place at Seaclose Park, Newport. Tickets are currently on sale.

Somebody suggested I should take a picnic and sit on the opposite of the river to listen to Will!

That's a good idea Pearl - if the weather's good. But would you be able to hear him.

I mentioned this to someone and they said that the police and security patrol along the river bank. :( However I can still go to my sister's house to listen - if the wind is in the right direction.

Fingers crossed for a fair wind Pearl. :)

I have just been to the chiropodist and she says that the Big Tent is enclosed all round apart from the sides where you go in. It gets VERY full and she suggests that you get in there early. Even if you have to see some bands and artists you aren't keen on.

She is selling her ticket as she doesn't want to see anyone on the bill (apart from Will) and thinks the line-up this year is dreaful (apart from Will and McFly).

However, she was telling me that there are buses shuttling people all over the Island but that it is a 20 minute walk from where the bus stops to Seaclose Park. If you are in Newport it is easier to walk up to the site rather than get on the bus and pay £3 a go! If you go for the whole three days, there is a lot of hanging about waiting for the next act to appear.

Sorry to be a bit negative but it is best to know the ropes before you go. There are still tickets available!

I do hope so TT. It will be the only way I'll be able to see Will, unless he comes to Newcastle on the tour.
