April 24, 200916 yr There are ways of expressing oneself though. Fair enough to the first comment but then he made a second, quite rude and offensive point, so you know  Alright then, I apologise for any offense caused by my post Jake. It was a bit uncalled for and it only came out because my first post was being taken as a bitchy comment. (when it wasn't supposed to be) Childish I know. This thread is so LOL. Now really I think it's time to think and acknowledge this is an internet forum. I'm not trying to arserape Jake or owt but I think he does a lot for this site by posting topics and such about new music/singles/albums...at least he took time out to post the topic. and there is pretty much limited info on VV at the minute cept that low quality vid that was posted? Really no need to get pissy about it. It's a TOPIC. Mariah would be ashamed Aaron. She might even describe this as your 'bleak moment' :( I think we all know and appreciate what Jake does for the forum, in terms of introducing us to new music. :o I'm sorry to let Mariah and everyone down, I'll close my eyes, shake it off and migrate etc. As for VV, are there any more full songs of hers out there yet other than "Crying Blood", "Leave!", "Quick Fix" and "This Charming Man"? I know she has songs called "Bottles" (which I like the sound of), "Back In Time" and of course "Shark In The Water" but I've only seen rubbish live performances of them. :( (apart from the first - she did it on Jools) I wouldn't say she's had her push yet either. She was still in the Sound Of top 10, so I'd be surprised if Radio 1 didn't support her at some point. In her newsletter it says that this is the important one that they want to go well, I think the first two only got 7" and digital release with minimal promo. (though was this not the case for La Roux with IFTK?) Anyway, I'm only gonna be disappointed if she crashes in at around #123 with this single.
April 24, 200916 yr Just to see VV Brown hit the Top 40 would be enough I think, I don't really expect her to have #01 hits etc. but it would be nice if she had some minor success and didn't get totally overlooked by the general public. :( I agree with Ryan, that she'll probably go down the same route as Remi Nicole sadly.

I can see her going top 40 with one minor hit before flopping. A bit like Ida Maria, Little Jackie or maybe have a smaller hit, but do alright with the album. (like Ladyhawke)
April 29, 200916 yr What a brilliant single. Lovely video and song. So warm! It wreaks of breakout hit too. God, I hope it is...

April 29, 200916 yr I was getting ready to just say when is she going to give up but after hearing this I'm impressed :o hope it does well.
April 29, 200916 yr I absolutely love it! She seems to get stronger with each single too, I hope this is the big breakthrough single for her, she really deserves it! She seems like a lovely woman and has alot of potential. I'm VERY interested to hear her album now too.
April 29, 200916 yr Only given it one listen so far, I love the video but I'm not as hot on the song. It doesn't quite live up to "Leave!" or even "Crying Blood" for me. It's still really good, the girl can do no wrong, but she set the bar so high with her soft releases that I'm slightly underwhelmed by it. On the positive side, it's only been one listen in and that chorus sounds like such a grower. I certainly think this is the best song they could have picked for lead single. It's just made to be picked up by radio and TV, while the first two singles didn't sound like they'd make waves in the charts, this does. (of course in 6 months time 'Crying Blood' will get another release and become a top 30 smash) I'll have to get an MP3 of this so I can drill it into my head.
April 30, 200916 yr The song's alright, I prefered 'Crying Blood' but both the song and the video at least show her personality and quirkiness which is what matters the most. I hope it does well.
April 30, 200916 yr Does anyone have an mp3 of this btw? I can't find one anywhere! I was just gonna ask that
