I only like Supernatural outr of the ones so far. And hey it's not just because of the hot guys. It has really good storylines and is a fairly decent show. I hope Buffy wins if its included in this but I have a feeling it'll be Friends or Eastenders

Four-way tie here. Don't say I don't treat you!

I must confess that Harry Hill has his amusing moments, but generally I'm not a fan of shows which involve playing clips followed by a bald middle-aged man pointing and laughing. To point and laugh should be a pleasure reserved for the young and full-haired. Also he has the same surname as the one and only Katie Hill, the cheeky cock. How dare he?

Firstly, how do so many people remember this? When it was on TV half of the voters were about nine! Either way it sounds faintly ridiculous going by the information wikipedia has force-fed me. And there was a character called April Tuna. April. Tuna. Either way it's quite the accomplishment that this beat One Tree Hill and a certain other teen drama which failed to make the list...

Sex & The City was the Destiny's Child of television drama. Beyonce always did her utmost to steal the limelight during her DC days, despite not being the best member. Similarly Sarah Jessica Parker, who doubled as the show's exec-producer, just had to dominate SATC. This might've been fine had they not cast the fabulous (and mortifyingly attractive) Kim Cattrall as nyphomaniac Samantha, the show's best character by a mile. There was also the annoyingly dippy Charlotte and the ginger giraffe Miranda who nobody liked. Despite thinking it was some serious social commentor when actually it was just frothy fun, Sex & The City never ceased to be a romp of a watch.

I must confess I'm fairly biased here; the third series split fans down the middle but having never properly got into the first two, I went into the third with an open mind and absolutely loved it. Devoured it in fact. You've got many a character type; the vacant stunner in Effy, the confused/closeted lesbian in Naomi, the jack-the-lad who tries too hard to impress in Cook. The wooden plank in Freddie (that's some drool-worthy wood though... I imagine :kink:). I think that Skins is probably as far removed from reality as the teen dramas at the other end of the scale; the American dramas where nobody smokes or drinks or swears or has sex; in that actually, which sixteen-year-olds actually get coked-up whenever they're not interracting with local gangsters? Still, we all love a good escapist fantasy, and when you get a lot of warm poignancy thrown into the mix, you can hardly complain.

You hit the nail on the head about SATC - Samantha is the best lead character by far. The only problem I had with SATC at times was the way gay men were stereotyped so badly (c.f. Will and Grace). Overall though, great show which got better with age.

What the hell is Popular?! Would go on Wiki like you did Jark, but I probably couldn't get over the April Tuna bit!

Popular is just amazing really. I only got back into it recently, it's just SO bizzare and I think the show itself knows it is, one of the main characters Mary Cherry is just one of the most hilarious yet strangest characters in any TV series. Probably one of my favourites too  And among all of this wackyness it did have some really good dramatic storylines, the final episode was horrible to watch! So sad. I'd actually reccomend it, it's very good if you can put up with some cheesyness and WTF moments hahaha <3

Sex And The City is also WAY too low! :o Amazing show, completely agree about Samantha, what a character! Much love for Skins too, Pandora, the twins and Michelle and Jal from the first series are all fabulous!

Popular is the best teen show ever :D And I was 15 in 2000, so I think i'd remember it well :P Its just totally funny, surreal, and takes the p*** out of themselves. Plus with characters like Mary Cherry, Cherry Cherry, Nicole, Miss Glass and long lost sister B-Ho, you couldnt go wrong! I'm still annoyed that season 3 was cancelled and we were left with probably the biggest WTF series finale ever in the history of TV.

Wash your mouth out with soap after that post young Jark -_- In 2000 i wouldve been about 8  I started my Teen Dramas early :P OTH owns all tbh.

Popular? Seriously, never heard of it LOL

Skins is good but for good episode of the last series there was an awful one

Harry Hill is getting old now

Agreed about SATC, Samantha was amazing though tbh i've only ever watched the movie and 1 episode.

Skins is the only one in that list I really like.

Sex and the City was simply OK, and Harry Hill's TV Burp is a good laugh.

Never seen or watched Popular.

Somewhat of a floppage here, no? Yet hardly a surprise, Corrie hasn't been anywhere near it's best since the days of Dicky Hillman  GOOD TIMES. Now they're all just pantomime actors :( I swear Janice was in like Aladdin last year? And Chesney  The overated little ginger SCAMP. But i always feel sorry for those who live on 'Rosamund Street', the street which runs across the top of Coronation Street/ They must live such boring lives in comparison to this kickass street where everything seems to happen. "Oi bitch" one week, "You slept with my husband" the next, "I dont approve of incest" the week after. :o In conclusion, CORRIE FTL.

That was like reading a textual version of bipolar disorder. Corrie is horrific. :(

:o Pleased but shocked that Harry Hill made it this high! Like Aled said though, it's getting a bit boring now. It's just a bit samey and I've never liked the whole 'fight' part at all! Used to be brilliant though. Brilliant for Skins too, should have been higher though! :(

And I was NOT expecting Corrie that low! ;o

Corrie used to be brilliant but then lost its way around 2005 and I don't think its ever properly recovered since. I still enjoy it though just not half as much as I used to. They need to start focusing on drama more, its too light hearted most of the time.

Popular is FUCKINGLY A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.! I remember so many hilarious times! Especially the episode about the argue when losing group would make irokez on their heads! <33333

It's been shown here 2 times! And i have been re-watching it too  But i don't remember how it ended because i think it wasn't dubbed to Russian completely :( [HELL, the only series ALL episodes of which have been shown is Charmed. :/ As much as i know though]

It takes an immensely likeable comedian to front a sketch show so The Catherine Tate Show always had a great shot at becoming something very funny indeed, and funny it was. For me some of the best sketches and comic creations weren't the most famous; we all know Lauren isn't bovvered but that wore thin after a while. Much funnier were Ally, the woman who always managed to properly put her foot in when she was introduced to people at parties, and Paul and Sam, the married couple who find the tiniest thing riotously funny. Some characters were less funny but amazingly well-observed (if exaggerated); the grumpy upper-class Northern couple Janice and Ray who frequently eat out before complaining about the food or the service; 'the dirty robbing b-stards!'. A final highlight for me was the 1950s-set Life At Ma's in which Ma Willow took in a time-travelling policeman, a la Life On Mars, and point-blank refused to believe that he didn't smoke or eat meat. Fantastic show; I'm cursing myself for missing it off my own list.
