May 21, 200916 yr Utter crap. I was so disappointed considering how good the book was. Sloppy acting, crazy plot changes, corny dialogue, massive logic leaps....!
May 22, 200916 yr TBH, the whole "Dan Brown" thing is just so overdone now and he's incredibly over-rated as an author, I mean, yeah, okay, you had an interesting theory, but, hey, so did the book you ripped your whole idea from - 'The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail'... Angels and Demons, book AND film, is just "In the Name of the Rose" without the interesting plot, characters, or atmosphere.... DULL.....
May 23, 200916 yr The Name of the Rose. Movie blew, but the book was great. Obviously Dan Brown pretty much just rips off the idea though tbh. Considering how awful you guys are saying this is, I think I'll miss out on it.
May 24, 200916 yr Saw it on Thursday, I loved it. It's better than the DaVinci Code I'd say. In terms of pacing, yeah, but everywhere else it falls into the same trap as DVC does, and it doesn't even have the benefit of having someone flamboyantly brilliant as Ian McKellen to come in and liven things up.... And I just have to wonder what the heck kind of accent Ewen McGregor was putting on.... It starts off as Irish, and then gets lost somewhere across the Irish sea and becomes Scottish again..... It's almost as hilarious as Sean Connery's "Irish Cop" character in The Untouchables......
May 24, 200916 yr It is better than Da Vinci Code, in terms of story, Tom Hanks' acting and humour to not make everything serious. That doesn't say much though. :(
