Hi all. I searched the board, but I couldn't find anything about this guy, who's just gone to number one in France. Now usually that isn't really a sign of quality, but for some reason they've gone for some of the best indie-folk I've heard in ages. It's not really my area of expertise, but I can clearly hear Jack Penate and Jamie T in it, plus a touch of Anthony Hegarty in the vocals, along with a really cool alt-country meets Ennio Morricone spaghetti western thing :D

 

 

I just downloaded his album, which is amazing :wub: What do you think? Do you think he could make it in the UK?

Nice, but hard to digest, for some reason it doesn't tick all the boxes with me, maybe its because it has a lot of country music influence to it.

True, although for some reason it reminds me a lot of Jack Penate's last single... Then again, my dad is a big country fan, I was kind of brought up on it...

Just heard this is about to get a UK release on September 14, with the album two weeks later. Maybe I will enter it in BJSC now :kink:
