Posted June 20, 200619 yr Sounds like bad news but it may just be hearsay. The source is quite gossipy. Despite having a successful comeback album last year with "The Emancipation of Mimi", Mariah Carey's "The Adventures of Mimi: The Voice, The Hits, The Tour" is having a hard time selling tickets. According to MariahCarey.com, three shows (September 3 in Hershey Pennsylvania, September 18 in Denver Colorado, September 25 in Seattle Washington) have just been canceled. Tickets for her tour went on sale nearly a month ago and none of the shows have sold out yet. A huge pool of tickets are available for every Mariah show currently listed on ticketmaster.com. Even the very cheap $18 tickets are still widely available for her concerts. Where have the Mariah fans who massively bought her album have gone since last year? If these shows are unable to combat low sales, more cancellations are likely. (Popdirt) Edited June 20, 200619 yr by Tim
June 21, 200619 yr Yep, and imo, she's doing too many concerts over there. She needs to do some in Europe too, because there are many people over here willing to go see her -_-

June 25, 200619 yr Author Madonna vs. Mariah? A spokesperson for Madonna has denied she "laughed hysterically" after hearing news of poor ticket sales for Mariah Carey's upcoming U.S. tour. Reports in the American press suggest the music icon took great pleasure in the apparent news of her pop rival struggling to fill the venues for her upcoming live dates. The New York Daily News claims Madonna holds a grudge against Carey, following a disagreement between the pair earlier on in their careers. "Madonna laughed hysterically. She has been asking her tour promoters to email her Mariah's sales," a "source" told the paper. However, Madonna's spokeswoman denied the reports, insisting: "She has no negative feelings toward Mariah." Meanwhile, Mariah's spokesperson said the live dates were set to be a great success, commenting: "Her tour is selling well. She's cancelled a few dates so she can add shows in larger cities." June 26, 200619 yr PopDirt? Says it all really.... What I was thinking. :D As for the second article, there might be a grain of truth somewhere but I doubt it went as far as the reports in the press reported. -_-
