2000 - Latvia: Brainstorm - My Star ( )

2001 - Lithuania: SKAMP - You Got Style (LOL)

2002 - FYR Macedonia: Karolina Gočeva - Od nas zavisi (WORST year of the 00's by far)

2003 - Turkey: Sertab Erener - Every Way That I Can (definitely a deserving winner! So glad Belgium didn't win...)

2004 - Serbia & Montenegro: Željko Joksimović - Lane Moje (although Ruslana is a VERY close 2nd place)

2005 - Serbia & Montenegro: No Name - Zauvijek Moja (<333 for this band)

2006 - Bosnia & Herzegovina: Hari Mata Hari - Lejla (It's still my favourite song off that year, no song came close to that one yet)

2007 - Ireland: Dervish - They Can't Stop The Spring (No comments. Just PERFECT.)

2008 - Bosnia & Herzegovina: Laka - Pokusaj (Has grown on me in the time before the contest took place, didn't like it that much at first)

2009 - Norway: Alexander Rybak - Fairytale (Although Bosnia & Herzegovina and Ukraine are very close to take the spot. everything depends on the performance now.)

I hardly know any song from the rest (apart from the winners) so here it is :w00t:

I've only properly followed since 06 :P

2006 - Switzerland - six4one - If We All Give A Little (16th place)

2007 - Belarus - Dmitry Koldun - Work Your Magic (6th Place) Molitva (Serbia) close second

2008 - Armenia - Sirusho - Qele, Qele (4th Place) Hold On Be Strong (Norway), Senhora du Mar (Portugal), Peace Will Come (Georgia) also all amazing :) + Shoutout to Casanova (Andorra) shame it didn't make it

2009 - Azerbaijan - Aysel and Arash - Always, or Norway - Alexander Rybak - Fairytale. With Jade in third.

Wow. So much tension and excitement there was in 1963 :kink:
I've totally changed my mind about 2003 (not like me :P ) - it's Don't Break My Heart by Nicola from Romania all the way! Amazing beat, so much energy

Jostein Hasselgård in 2003 made me LOVE Eurovision

I only got into ESC in 2003, but here goes:

2005 - United Kingdom: Javine - Touch My Fire (finished 22nd - should've done better, fantastic!)

2006 - Russia: Dima Bilan - Never Let You Go (finished 2nd - should've won!)

2007 - Turkey: Kenan Dogulu - Shake It Up Shekerim (Close one between Russia and Turkey, but Turkey stole it and should've finished 1st, or 2nd after Russia)

2008 - Greece: Kalomoira - Secret Combination (Lost due to tactical voting towards Russia/Ukraine. Undoubtably a true winner. Close on between Slovenia and Greece for me, but amazing talent in 2008!)

2009 - Romania: Elena Gheorghe - The Balkan Girls (Close between Norway, UK, Albania and Romania, but definately Romania!)

^ I thought Greece was great last year, at the time. I watched the performance on Thursday, though, and it wasn't as good as I thought it was at the time. Very sloppy, and you could hardly hear Kalomira's vocals. I was surprised watching it back, and it deserved it's 3rd place, even though I didn't think so at the time. Still probably the right top 3 overall, although I wanted Ani to walk away with the victory.
Armenia was great last year, I totally under-rated it at the time. Maybe I should have switched my Greek allegiance to Armenia? It was certainally much better than this years.

:heehee:

I'm still recovering from the fact that Belgium didn't qualify :snif:

But who knows, Rich, who knows ... :kink:

I just can't believe countries like Belgium and The Netherlands, they have no shame whatsoever...

with the odd exception they send utter rubbish every year, much like the United Kingdom :kink:

I actually quite like Dutch 2008 entry! :o But i seem to be agreeing -_-
I back Belgium last year. I even cooked a Belgian meal. Moules et Frites. :snif:
