Hanging With Hoppus

So I get a call from Blunt Magazine while at work with them wanting to see if i can hook up or help push along an interview with Mark Hoppus of Blink182. Hoppus was out in Sydney for the Australian MTV Awards to present an award. Yet he flew out about 4 days before he had anything to do.

A quick email to my good friend Rick DeVoe wording them up on this deal. And a few emails and calls later its on for Blunt Magazine. Blunt where nice enough to show some love and get me to shoot the interview for them.

I turned up to the Hilton on George St in Sydney to find a bunch of photo scum all waiting in the lobby armed to the teeth to try and fire off some frames of the celebs. So I headed straight for the desk and checked in my gear so I didnt have any camera on or near me.

We met up with Mark in the lobby and headed straight for the roof top Zeta Bar. During the interview I setup and shot away of Kelly from Blunt interviewing.

Most of the interview was based around the reformation of Blink182 but there was a lot of talk about Twitter which I am slowly getting addicted to. www.twitter.com/1ovakynd.

So after the interview I shot a bunch of ports of Mark which was fun to work with a guy who has done this a million times.
