Well, I used to be against cover bands in a big way... they were kop out.... but, I realise they have a brilliant place in the whole scheme of things. A musician can make a living from working in a cover band in order to support what they may want to do creatively until it possibly takes off itself. Also, I do think that if things are done in a certain way then they can remain credible.... and ultimately, they can be a fantastic way to spend an evening, if the musicians involved actually care about what they are doing.

I've been working as an entertainment agent for a while now and we work with this band: http://www.warble-entertainment.com/detail...lers&id=607

I've seen them live and they kick arse in a huge way! And, because they are a cover band playing only the 'stronger' tracks by each act they really are 'all killer and no filler'.... I seriously doubt that many of the original bands they cover could keep up their energy for the performances these guys put in.

But, waddya reckon? cover bands.. good or not?

The Bootleg Beatles and Australian Doors shows that I went to were fantastic.... Other than that, very, very iffy territory..... However, The Scottish Sex Pistols actually turned out to be about 10 times better than the "real" Pistols when they played their bloody awful comeback shows.....
