It's about 4-5 hours away from me :( Do they do afternoon performances? If I'm going on my own then I would rather go up and back in one day than stay in a hotel on my own
they have a matinee performance on saturdays at 4pm :D

I'm now going on the 9th of March as well as the 23rd of January.

I'm not going at all. :(

Why not chrysalis? do you live too far away? :(

I'm not going either.

To be honest, I'm not really fussed. It's not my thing, I'm much more interested in Will the singer but I'm pleased for him that he's making inroads with his acting career, I'll just be content with his tour and hearing all about his theatre performances as they happen :D

I live too far away too. I live on the Isle of Wight so I would have to pay the ferry fare plus the fare up to Manchester, plus hotel etc. Well in excess of £100 - more like £150!

I am very interested in his acting career as I love the theatre and the cinema (more than music actually) but this is too difficult to attend.

I look forward to the reports and pictures from the programme.

I was thinking, wouldn't it be great if it was made into a film? It hasn't been filmed since the 1920s when Ivor Novello made a silent movie of it.

Booked mine today, 27th Jan, Row D. Am very excited :cheer:

Hugs to those who can't make it. I'm sure you will know every move he's made though when you see all the reports ;)

The Theatre performance times :D

Monday to Friday evening: 7.30pm

Saturday evening: 8.00pm

Wednesday matinee: 2.30pm

Saturday matinee: 4.00pm

I wonder if they will televise this? It would be great if they did for all those people who cannot make it. Or am I just wishful Will thinking!!!

I think you're wishful thinking

I am not impressed with a Noel Coward play, and even less impressed that it's in Manchester! But I am sure that I will pop along at some point. Buying a ticket will have to wait - I have Nigel in Guys and Dolls to see first

Is Nigel back in G&D then? I am also not impressed that the play is in Manchester - much too far for me and too expensive to travel for one show.

He's in it for a month in the touring production in Birmingham in December...

Manchester is a 3 hour drive for me and to be honest I don't think that I will be bothered more than once to do it. Now if it were in London I fear I may have spent a fortune on it!

I'm going opening night...got the tickets weeks ago when the talk started...mental i know  ..but so glad i did it now...opening night of his first ever play.. how amazing is that?..there is always something new!...just love him

Still not booked for this yet :( Need to get my arse in gear :P

Avoid Brits night then (whenever that is), this was posted on PJ!!

So... I know that most of us will have presumed that he would be at the ceremony, anyway, seeing as he is likely to be nominated for "stuff" for Keep On and its offspring singles BUT as you will recall he is going to be doing a long run of THE VORTEX in Manchester, at the same time. . .

My friend, who works at the Royal Exchange Theatre has just told me that apparently there is quite a bit of a to-do and a hoo-hah because Will's management has insisted that he will only sign the contract if he is allowed the night off for the Brits. Because the theatre show is likely to sell for his appearance, the theatre has decided not to have an understudy for that night and for the first time in the history of the theatre the show will be cancelled mid-week for a night due to unavailability of an actor otherwise than due to illness.

Apparently it has caused a bit of an uproar in the theatre but the long and short of it is that Will will be appearing at the Brits (although whether he will perform a song or a monologue remains to be seen...)

Interesting ;)
