Steve Angello, Kid Cudi, Shontelle/Akon, Swift Inc, Keri/Kanye/Ne-Yo, K.I.G, Katy Perry, Dizzee Rascal (Fix Up Look Sharp), Taylor Swift, Pink (Sober)...all line up below them. Along with Kelly Clarkson (I Don`t Hook Up), Lady GaGa (Paparazzi), Ciara (Turntables), MGMT (Kids), Killers (Human), Friendly Fires (Jump In The Pool), Franz Ferdinand, U2, Miley & Billy, Macabees, Maximo Park, & The Enemy. Expect McFly (Falling In Love), & Jade Ewen (the Eurovision no hoper) to go into the top 75 for Sunday. Last week, we got 8 in the 10, 16 in the 20, & 24 in the Combined Albums. In the Singles, we had the top 5 correct (not difficult)! 9 in the 10 (Miley let us down), 18 in the 20, 27 in the 30, 37 in the 40 (as usual)! With 47 in the top 50! Back in 1991, Radio Luxembourg came up with this top 20: (Introduced by Shaun Tilley on Sunday 12th May 91 at 9pm) 01 06 SAILING ON THE SEVEN SEAS - ORCHESTRAL MANOUEVRES IN THE DARK 02 08 LAST TRAIN TO TRANCENTRAL - KLF 03 01 SHOOP SHOOP SONG - CHER 04 05 THE ONE AND ONLY - CHESNEY HAWKES 05 15 THERE`S NO OTHER WAY - BLUR 06 03 SIT DOWN - JAMES 07 04 BORN FREE - VIC REEVES/ROMAN NUMERALS 08 13 SENZA UNA DONNA - ZUCCHERO/PAUL YOUNG 09 20 CHILDREN - EMF 10 NE QUADROPHONIA - QUADROPHONIA 11 10 SINFUL - PETE WYLIE/FARM 12 NE LOVE IS A WONDERFUL THING - MICHAEL BOLTON 13 07 SIZE OF A COW - WONDER STUFF 14 NE GET READY - ROACHFORD 15 02 WHOLE OF THE MOON - WATERBOYS 16 11 CAN YOU DIG IT - MOCK TURTLES 17 14 RESCUE ME - MADONNA 18 NE I TOUCH MYSELF - DIVINYLS 19 16 GET THE MESSAGE - ELECTRONIC 20 NE TOUCH ME (ALL NIGHT LONG) - CATHY DENNIS 14 in the 20 for Luxembourg in 1991. Again, much based on airplay. OMD topping the list with a #3 Official position. Certainly a bunch of classic tracks there. It was quite funny at the time to put a segway of records together with "Senza Una Donna (Without A Woman)" - Zucchero/Paul Young and "Size Of A Cow" - The Wonder Stuff!!! Oh, how the boys laughed! Radio Luxembourg did not like De La Soul`s "Ring Ring Ring" or The Simpsons "Deep Deep Trouble", so no chart place for those...Too Cheesey! Although, they were well ahead with the Divinyls dodgy "I Touch Myself". Were they seeking Amy?!
May 11, 200916 yr Thanks Dave Please don't call Jade a no-hoper though  Even if it doesn't chart big this week, we have our best shot in years. I think she should fly up the charts after Eurovisiin. A really talented, sweet, and unpretentious girl too
May 11, 200916 yr Author Thanks Dave Please don't call Jade a no-hoper though  Even if it doesn't chart big this week, we have our best shot in years. I think she should fly up the charts after Eurovision. A really talented, sweet, and unpretentious girl too  I will apologise if she wins or comes remotely close, Tom. I think even if you put Girls Aloud into the Eurovision, we`d still lose as like old Terry says "it`s become a joke". Could be Radio One`s Chart Show, really! Malta think they can win the contest too! :o
