May 11, 200916 yr they can be forgiven for being 'lightweight' as music was only just evolving when these were at their peak. great pop imho, epitomising the mersey sound, thought 'dont let the sun catch you crying' and 'ferry cross the mersey' in particular were superb
May 12, 200916 yr I concur, at the time they certainly gave the Beatles a chart battle although it didn't last as long. Like all the songs you mentioned.
