This Dark Horse from The Beatles proved with his first proper album, that the Lennon & McCartney songwriting partnership were holding his often brilliant compositions back. His career headed towards a gradual decline, along with an increased interest in producing Films & a passion for Motor Racing until a comeback in the late 1980s solo & with the Traveling Wilburys put him back into the limelight before his untimely death from cancer.

Were you fans of George's post Beatles career or did you think is was a bit too samey & Hare Krishna influenced for your liking?

My favourite Beatle by far musically, liked a lot of his solo stuff too

 

Fave song of mine are Vatican Blues and Between The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea and but really like the songs listed above too

pretty decent material imho...

The quiet Beatle, should have had more songs on the albums. As a solo artist, yes, quite liked him although only in his early '70's and mid '80's phase. The ones you mention are his best.
