May 11, 200916 yr Author Forgot about Beattie. He's been immense for Stoke. As much as I dislike them, he really has been a fantastic signing for them.
May 12, 200916 yr How are Spurs the most under performed team of the season ? Incredible recovery after 2 points from 8 games Carling Cup final Only 1 defeat in 7 games against the "Sky 4" in the Premiership and that was under dubious circumstances, Least goals conceded at home in the entire premiership 4th best team stats wise under Redknapp (if he had been appointed in the summer we would make CL with those Harry stats) Team of the season: Sadly gotta give it to Utd :( Manager of the season: Harry Redknapp for the reasons listed above Top 3 players of the season: Hangeland, Lennon, Ekotto Most improved team: Fulham Most improved player: BA Ekotto, lambasted as a joke figure last 2 seasons and Spurs' bst player in 2008/09 Best signing of the season: Palacios for Spurs, performed incredibly Worst signing of the season: Berbatov Most underperformed team of season: Newcastle Game of the season: Arsenal 4 Spurs 4
May 12, 200916 yr How are Spurs the most under performed team of the season ? With the squad you have and money you spent you should be looking to compete with the top 4, and not just in matches against them. The fact you've been competing with West Ham, Fulham and Wigan all season is a joke. You may have conceded the least at home but your home record is still only the 8th best in the league and only Hull, Wigan and Boro have scored less so it's not as if you're great defence has counted for that much. The fact you've put Lennon as a top 3 player of the season is a complete joke. He's always been an awful player and it's only the second half of the season he's started to show he has more than pace to his game. I'll admit he's a decent shout for improved player but better than any players from the big 4, Ireland, Young, Murphy, Schwarzer, Cahill, Jagielka etc? You're having a laugh! Redknapp was appointed after 8 games, you're 20 points behind Arsenal and they certainly didn't have that many points after 8 games, you're still behind the top 4 under Harry. According to official stats post Redknapp we would be 5th if Redknapp had taken over at start of the season so for me the season started when Ramos was fired and nothing before that should really count as the twat as the biggest waste of space ever As for Lennon he is a shoe in to win Spurs player of the year and the fans player of the year at Spurs, on every Spurs forum going he is leading the poll comfortably so these guys are the guys that see him for 90 mins week in week out as opposed to 10 mins on MOTD Also for the first half of the season we were without the previous years amazing strikeforce that between them got 46 goals and had to make do with a tired Russian that had not had a break for 18 months, a half fit Darren Bent and a Man Utd reserve that is the attacking version of Titus Bramble so all in all I think Harry has done an incredible job
May 12, 200916 yr Author But Craig you cannot deny that Spurs have under-performed massively. Even with your mentality that the season started when Harry took over, the reality is that the season starts in August. He's done good i'll give him that but he had a wealth of talent and a big budget at his disposeal. The Spurs squad is still a way off from challenging for the CL as well, there's a lot od dead wood in the squad who will all be 50/60/70k a week at least. Lennon this season has been OK, but by no means even the best right winger in the country (Ronaldo, Robinho and Kuyt all have done better), let alone the best player in the league!

He has only had 1 transfer window so far and all of those that he bought have been successes, Defoe has scored quite a few goals and been unlucky with injuries, Keane has injected some fighting spirit into the team, Palacios has been a mean machine in the centre of the midfied forming a formidable partnership with Jenas, Chimbonda and Cudicini are only there as back ups in the event of injury so Harry basically took over Ramos' team and will bring in his own men in the summer so given he inherited someone else's squad and the players he has bought so far have been successes the signs are promising for 6th place next season The Sky 4 are out of reach atm and Man City will be serious contenders for CL qualification given they have about 1bn to spend this summer Even you gotta admit the results since Jan when Harry started making his own team have been impressive, Blackburn we were robbed by appalling refereeing as we were at Old Trafford too We are being strongly linked in the media and Spurs forum ITK's with Muntari and Johnson and Joe Cole and also Crouch and Yakubu and we have good chance with most of them as they have all played under Harry and been big successes Edited May 12, 200916 yr by B.A Baracus

I know you've sold a lot of players but this seasons failure and maybe no European football next season won't be good for budget terms. You're definitely in the group with Everton, Aston Villa, Man City and West Ham (possibly Fulham now too, but we'll see what they do next season) that are challenging in attempting to break the Top4, but you're behind Everton and Villa atm and Man City have an unlimited budget so... Villa will be weaker next season as Barry will leave, but they should still be able to keep hold of Agbonlahor, Young and Carew so they'd still be in good steed for the season. I could see you signing one of Crouch/Yakubu (more likely Crouch) but definitely not J.Cole (unless the new manager doesn't want him) and Johnson (think he's a shoe-in for Liverpool personally even though i'm not overly keen on the idea).

Levy generally gives us £30m a year + money from player sales, maybe if we don't get into Europe that will drop to £20m+ player sales, we have a lot of dead wood like Hudlestone, Zokora, Dos Santos, Bentley and am sure one of Bent or Pav will go to accomodate a big striker so I think Harry will have a lot of money tbh The best I am expecting next season is 6th really

I could see a team like Wigan or West Ham buying Huddlestone but thats about it really. Can't see you generating more than about £15m for them all + maybe 8m if Pavlychenko or Bent goes.

Can't see you generating more than about £15m for them all + maybe 8m if Pavlychenko or Bent goes. Zokora would go back to France plus West Ham wanted him last summer - £3-4m I would say we would get Huddlestone has interested Wolves and Everton were after him last summer - again £4-5m I would say Dos Santos could easily go back to Spain for as much as we paid Bent has 12 goals in the premiership this year lots of midfield teams would be after him Pav could easily go back to Russia Bentley would go to a mid table team We could sell all them I reckon
May 13, 200916 yr You'll sell them all but you'll probably lose significantly over £20m on what you signed them for.
