Posted May 12, 200916 yr Well there are quite a few nowadays like Luxembourg, Italy and Austria. Who's next?
May 12, 200916 yr iceland. Theyd never be able to afford the hosting of it Edited May 12, 200916 yr by dk-cork
May 12, 200916 yr I MISS ITALY!! I don't think costs have much to do with pulling out ... Albania couldn't afford to host it, I wouldn't imagine, but they're trying to do well (although in a misguided way!). It could be one of the Big 4 ... this seems to be make or break year. Anything outside top 10 after all of this, and I think BBC would consider it seriously...

I miss Italy too  I think you're right about a Big 4 country being next to leave - but it would have been Sweden if they didn't go through!
May 12, 200916 yr what would happen if a bankrupt country won? Eurovision in a barn?! One of the Big 4 host it for them :) C'mon .. Albania for the win, then the UK can host! Hurrah!
May 12, 200916 yr im not sure ireland could affored it either to be honest!! There are now no extras in our national soap as they were a luxury expense!!

May 12, 200916 yr Um ... the music video for Carry Me In Your Dreams? The video I shot in the second year of my degree was more technical! :heehee:...u're right, but still its not like they cant host ESC...the RTSH festival is pretty big...same as ESC...2 semi finals and a final night.
May 12, 200916 yr That's true ... they have a huge venue for that, right? Maybe they could do it ... but, sadly, it's not like Kejsi is gonna win :(
May 12, 200916 yr well Im not expecting Kejsi to win...its just for the future...and Anjeza was the only one I liked so far...my faves always comes 2nd or 3rd
May 12, 200916 yr I think Ireland could withdraw especially if we dont make the final this year and im not sayiing ireland would withdraw on that basis alone but ireland cannot afford to host the show nor can rte the national bradcator which is also financially screwed. I think ireland will take a look at the expense of sending an entry to eurovision and relaise they cant afford it if out economy decline keeps plummeting the way it is. Some people say the hosting the urovision brings great tourism but one week of tourism will not ocer the cot of hosting the show by any means. On saying that i really hope ireland never withdraw.
May 12, 200916 yr everyone is mentioning economy crisis while Madonna and Britney still can sell their tickets from 100 euro to 400 :o
May 12, 200916 yr Netherlands! I think I read somewhere that they wont enter in 2010 :( and the UK if Jade flops :kink: j/k I don't think she will :)
