That the semi results have been very fair? and almost no song get's through that doesn't deserve it?

 

Maybe it's just me but it seems for the most part songs get through that actually deserve it and there hasn't been any rotton surprises.

 

The 2 semi's idea was the best idea they've ever had. :D

Totally agree actually... 7 out of 10 countries last night were old Eurovision countries too. Then again, I think there will be more upsets on Tuesday night - I can see for example Slovenia not making it, and the Netherlands doing it instead, but there won't be many westerners object to that I don't think :kink:

I agree, last year had amazing qualifiers! I didn't notice. And this year's SF1 ones are just IMMENSE (except Romania lolz)

That will spoiled on Thrusday with the predictable qualification of Ukraine.

Ukraine are in my top 5 and I'm from UK, so it's not entirely Eastern votes that will put them through. I wouldn't be surprised if they won the whole damn thing to be honest.

I love their song completely too :wub: And I am from the UK. But they would havbe to make the final first, and I don't think their jury votes will be high :(

I did think the juries wouldn't go for it, but then I don't think the juries will only go for ballads and traditional songs either. And she has the bonus that it's energetic and fun, without being gimmicky, it's still a great song I think...

Nah, I don't think so. 'The one with the lesbians' (Molitva), "The one with the ice skater" (Believe), "The one with the Monsters" (Hard Rock Hallelujah), "The one with the Pirates" (Wolves of the Sea) are all gimmicks ... except thinking of "The Crazy One" as Valentine, I think the creative aspects are the performance, rather than a tacky gimmick...

I didn't like it that much either, but I love it now. I'd be happy enough for her to win, but I'd still be a bit mad she won when Ani Lorak didn't, because Ani is so much more amazing on the whole.

Oh wow, Ukraine has Svetlana Loboda?! I bought a couple of her CD's when I went to Ukraine. She's very popular in Ukraine and also known in other countries. As for the video, as I say in ex-USSR countries, "respect no woman who does NOT wear her boots above the knee." :wub:

 

Molitva wasn't at all gimmicky! :o That was just Wogan reading into it...one of the best entries of the decade IMO.

Yes... well at least it is like that in semis, and its because many people don't vote because they are saving money for the finals, and thats when the Balcanian countries mostly compete against ex SSSR... but now it will be different with jury :)

Seriously, these year's Q's are of VERY good quality bar a couple of songs only, but every cloud has a silver lining ;p This is the best system of finding out the Q's so far :cheer:

She's seriously the best participants of the last decade in terms of the fierce-ness! :heart: I have never seen such an attitude! She's planning to put everyone on their knees, including the Juries. Gosh, she's amazing and so wonderfully dirrrrrrrrrrty!
