June 29, 200916 yr I know we all want him to get new fans, but it makes me sad to think that he would deliberatly not let his loyal fans know of something he was performing just because he dd not want us there, I don't feel he would ever think like that, at least I would hope he would not I don't think that's the case for one minute. Glastonbury was sold out long before Will was announced, so the audience watching him in the Lounge or the Avalon tent would have had their tickets regardless, there wouldn't have been any reason to expect the Lounge would be packed with Will's hardcore fans. ;) My thoughts were that he wasn't officially announced for the Lounge because there was a possibilty he might not have made it on time (which he nearly didn't) because he only arrived that day.
June 29, 200916 yr It's a bit good innit  Thanks sunday. There's a nice piccy here: http://twitpic.com/8s4h6 Getting some great feedback from Glastonbury too.

Maybe so - but when Bumbling asked who it was they wouldn't tell her but they knew he was going to perform. I can't see why they wouldn't have added his name if it wasn't a secret. Anyway at 11am they taped the new setlist to the board outside so I went to have a look and saw the “special guest” at 2.30 so I asked who it was. The girl said “Oh they are really good but it is a surprise” I just think that sometimes it's good for him to get feedback from people other than his own fans, and what better way to do it than to do something like the Guardian Lounge unannounced. June 30, 200916 yr . I just think that sometimes it's good for him to get feedback from people other than his own fans, and what better way to do it than to do something like the Guardian Lounge unannounced. Is that really a big enough audience to make a difference though? I mean he's performing to non fans all the time, these corporate gigs he does for example. He's got a captive audience there who for the most part are probably not fans anyway. ;) Whatever the reason for keeping it a secret, I don't think for one minute it would be to avoid his fans, let's face it, the likelihood of there being a coach trip of Will diehards to Glastonbury that day (all wanting the front row ;) ) would be very remote. :D
June 30, 200916 yr Thanks for putting up Them Changes Sunday. It's great. I was just thinking how assured his performances are now to those far off days at Exeter.

June 30, 200916 yr I do :heehee: But who?. Blimey, even on both our sites you could count the ones that went to Glastonbury on one hand :D Or do you know something we don't know. :naughty:
June 30, 200915 yr Hi!! hope you dont mind me popping in as I havent logged on here in absolutely ages!! Glad you like the vids- brilliant wasnt he  I just want to say that Will was not the only special guest hence why I was told "They are really good" There was also a lady singer called Bupa and John McClure was the 3rd. Although I was the only one there from the sites there were a few who had heard Will was playing and turned up to watch so they did better than I did at playing detective.. :naughty: Anyway Faye was very happy to see me so I felt fine being there plus I know for a fact that Will is also happy to see his fans at any public event. Will butt out now.. Just editing to say that that is what Glastonbury is all about ;) bigger artists turning up doing second sets elswhere as well as their advertised slots - Lady Gaga did an extra set as a soecial guest in another small tent and I believe that Damon alburn did a surprise acoustic one elsewhere. Dont worry - Will was 100% not trying to keep anything secret just going along with Glastonbury traditions of stumbling across treats like the Guardian performance. Edited June 30, 200915 yr by *Jue*

July 2, 200915 yr Will's Glastonbury blog - another O/S update: Will's Glastonbury Blog Thursday 02 July 2009 http://i40.tinypic.com/vq2zhz.jpg saving...0 votes 0 comment Glastonbury was quite a day. We turned up at lunchtime and rushed striaght to the Guardian tent to do an accoustic set where the temperature was at Sahara levels!! We then rushed onto the Avalon stage where we had an hour wait before I donned my flares and stripy top to hit the stage!! The gig went great and the highlight was getting the two people Anna and Mike onto the stage for a dance to celebrate their upcoming wedding!!! I threw my top into the crowd at the end and obviously haven't learnt from V last year cos it was another favourite vintage number!! Oh well......!! Thanks to everyone who turned up to make it such a memorable and fun gig x For more pictures of Will at Glastonbury, head to the gallery!I threw my top into the crowd at the end and obviously haven't learnt from V last year cos it wasanother favourite vintage number!! Oh well......!! What's he like - but don't believe him - doubt he'd do it for a second time. Reckon he's having a clear-out  Edited July 2, 200915 yr by munchkin
