Did anyone else watch the charity football match that has just finished on ITV4? Its the first game in ages I've watched from start to finish and it was top-class entertainment. Ricky Tomlinson (as Mike Bassett) was managing the Allstars and Kenny Dalglish managing the Liverpool Allstars and playing. Some great names from the past (Jan Molby is built like a brick sh thouse now - but he's still a lot more use on the football pitch than a lot of players today.) Rushie & Aldridge were brilliant. Of the Allstars - Nicky Byrne of Westlife is pretty useful on the pitch and Craig David was quite sharp too (still didn't smile once though - no change there!)

 

Really good - it was in aid of Hillsborough and the Marina Dalglish Cancer charity fund - so in a good cause - and the fans turnout was excellent.

No suprise the turnout was excellent - its been heavily publisised and Liverpool fans always go out of their way in Hillsborough memorials. Add that to the funds were also going to a very special players wifes' charity its all good.
