May 21, 200916 yr I always regard 1999 as a good year until I see one of these flashback charts! I only think dance music was the shining beacon of this year, it certainly wasn't pop music anyway...! FOUR boybands in the top 5! And I HATE Texas! I have highlighted the ones I like... Not many! Top 40 Hits of Mid May 1999 4 TLC - No Scrubs 12 Basement Jaxx - Red Alert 16 Pete Heller - Big Love 22 Cassius - Feeling For You 27 Veracocha - Carte Blanche 29 Powerhouse featuring Duane Harden - What You Need 32 Mr Oizo - Flat Beat 37 Whitney Houston - It's Not Right But It's Okay Edited May 21, 200916 yr by ScottyEm
May 22, 200916 yr Author I always regard 1999 as a good year until I see one of these flashback charts! I only think dance music was the shining beacon of this year, it certainly wasn't pop music anyway...! cant argue against that, as my personal yearly charts demonstrated.... 1999 the year of trance innit ! ;)
May 22, 200916 yr Only have time for Fatboy Slim and SFA. Kula Shaker and The Cast were OK but the rest was absolute dreck. This is why I hated 1999-2000. Crap! I retreated into second hand record shops and out and out indie.
May 22, 200916 yr Author ! I retreated into second hand record shops thats what i did ten years earlier! and for the same reasons! :P
