May 19, 200916 yr I wonder if the Circus album will get re-released for xmas like Beautiful World did with some extra tracks? If they do - they'll have to have a hell of a lot of extras on it! A dvd interview like on the Beautiful World one would be welcome. I'm really not as fond of The Circus as I am of the Beautiful World album though ... which is why they'll have to have some tempters. For a start - the 'b' sides this time round aren't a patch on the 'b' sides to the singles from Beautiful World era! Not sure videos included would tempt me ... the only video I like so far from this album are the present on - Said It All (which to my mind is the best they've ever done) and ... for all its 'home-made' qualities ... I'm liking Up All Night! Norma Edited May 19, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
May 19, 200916 yr I digress here, but, 'Up All Night'akes me think of The Boomtoen Rats.... It's be up to their record label as to whether to re-release The Circus or not, and to what 'perks' would be added, if any.....maybe a greatest hits EP, and an interview dvd might make it....but, who knows? :)

Plus ... it was a truly limited edition as it was on sale for precisely six weeks and then it was pulled from sales. The only way you could get it was on ebay or on 'used' copies on Amazon. I think they shot themselves in the foot though as had they had it unlimited - the total sales for Beautiful World would have been even greater. I think if they have a 'De Luxe - The Circus' they won't make the same mistake again ... but The Circus isn't as good an album as Beautiful World. By the way ... I think I get what you mean about the Up All Night / Boomtown Rats connection. Norma
May 19, 200916 yr I recall The Boomtown Rats having a minor hit back around 1980 called 'Up All Night'......the video, IIRC, was partly in a rundown building, partly in the sewers..... I will admit, that I've only heard one or 2 TT songs in my days, and, seen only one video, from youtube....a live video, at that..

Was it from the first time round or this time round? Norma
May 19, 200916 yr The video was from this time round, and, they were on a television show, in the UK......but, I can't recall the song title off the top of me head......
May 19, 200916 yr The video was from this time round, and, they were on a television show, in the UK......but, I can't recall the song title off the top of me head...... I still think the best live stuff they've done this time was from the 'Audience With ... Take That' back in 2006. Although I loved their live performance of Never Forget on the Take That Comes To Town. I was one of those who was mightily disappointed that they mimed at the Brit Awards this year ... even though given the 'set up' meant that they had to. Personally I'd rather they'd have just gone for a bog-standard stand on the stage and sing routine that they did in 2007 with Patience. Still ... we can't have everything. If you want to see the best - look at some youtube coverage of the 'Beautiful World' tour - especially the 'Could It Be Magic' performance. I am hoping that The Circus Tour will surpass the ones I've seen so far ... but I don't think it can. Norma
May 19, 200916 yr I'll try and ask my online friend, who lives in Leeds, what the video was he linked to me, since, he's a massive TT fan....
May 19, 200916 yr I'll try and ask my online friend, who lives in Leeds, what the video was he linked to me, since, he's a massive TT fan.... I'm actually going to Leeds this Friday! I lived there between 1981 and 1988 - and my best friend still lives there (its her I'm going to visit!) You must let me know who your friend is! There aren't many TT fans in Leeds! Norma
May 19, 200916 yr I'll PM you his name, and, the street he lives on.....   He'll not thank you! But if it is Vesper Terrace or St Michael's Lane ... then this is surely .... weird! Norma Edited May 19, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
May 19, 200916 yr Well, I was going to ask if it were okay first, at least to the street....
