I would have voted 'no' quite possibly though, although I did enjoy the Rejects competition and the Best Of (for selfish reasons :kink:)

I hope after the 50th contest we have a Congratulations type contest in which we vote for the best winner, host, most consistent country etc.

i already left :/ but i r back, Boyan was still here when i last entered and i never had problems then, the spin off happening wasnt democratically decided, and from what it seems is that it is pointless happening - which it is.

The contest has changed so much since you were last here.

 

The spin off's were introduced to keep the calender in check and to break up the continuous BJSC by Trash. Everyone knew there was a spin off happening again after the last one where they could have brought this up instead of waiting until the thing has started.

 

There is no way in hell i will mess about Rob by pulling the plug because a couple of people are unhappy. The majority voted for a foreign language theme, there is a nul vote option they could have used if they didn't want one, and there is still a large number of entries into the spin off so it stays, Majority rules. Democratic no?

GA was a special case IMHO. If it was a different group, or even if it had been entered as Filles A Haut Voix, it wouldn't have done nearly as well. Plus the English version was a hit before it was entered AFAIK.

Also, without meaning to sound rude, surely the fact that as it stands no semis will be needed and everyone who was interested in the spinoff has entered has only further highlighted my point?

I think no semi finals would be better actually...if it had semis, it'd just feel more like another regular BJSC contest with a theme...

 

TBH I'm glad this is smaller haha. A lot less entries to browse through. What a BJSC Spinoff should be. When these were first created, I had like two week competitions in my mind. Nothing epic. Something fun for those who were interested. Hell, I'd be fine with a Eurovision one if these weren't such a 'big' thing, because I'd be fine with missing out on it.

 

I'm just not really getting the complaints? Seems like a lot of bitterness...makes me wonder if people would still be complaining if there was a remix spinoff. :/ Which would be a lot of fun, but this one had the most interest. I'm sure that one would be next. ;o

understand why the spin offs were originally made, but quite obviously from points made previously in this thread, this one isnt keeping the calender in check.

OMG @ the complete nonsense in this thread.

 

OK - This spin-off IS going ahead, there's no point in complaining as you aren't going to change that. The reason for that is because THIS IS A GAME! Some people would like a spin-off and so to compensate this significant group of people we are having a contest to introduce new music to the BJSC theme.

 

We are NOT replacing the BJSC but simply delaying it slightly to allow other people to enjoy themselves with this spin-off. No one is missing out and some people are gaining so what is there to complain about?!! If you don't like it then don't take part, as I stress - THIS IS A GAME!

 

For sure before the next one we may have to re-address who is interested but until then just bloody well enjoy yourselves

anyway the poll showed 27 people wanted foreign spin-off and about 18 remix one...and TBH im not expecting these 18 people to join in this spin-off...and trust me I wouldn't join if remix would have won.
