Yeah, that's the cover on the album. The original is by the Bee Gees. :puke2:

I much prefer Bev's version, she performed it live on Thursday and her voice was so good on it.

Ooh thought I recognised it I'm sure her version will be better

Bored now though just want the album to hurry up and leak.

So many bad reviews :o

I thought this might be a winner, but no. It’s the soul diva’s first release on her own Hurricane imprint and features Chaka Khan and Bee Gee Robin Gibb.

Yes, Knight has a syrupy smooth voice which is used to full effect on tracks such as Beautiful Night, but a dearth of catchy pop hooks and too much schmaltzy gospel render the rest of it little more than pseudo-soulful tripe.

Album review: Beverley Knight - 100%

4/5

Bev's always been a class act, but on her sixth studio album her awareness of vocal tone and lung power are better than ever.

Bev has found personal freedom with her own label and a cast of collaborators that includes Jam and Lewis, Guy Chambers and Chaka Khan. And after the superb deep soul sounds of 2007's Music City Soul, this engages with contemporary R&B.

Sure there are beats, vocoders and other modern contrivances, but the rich seam that ties it together is Knight's vocal presence, rooted in the community spirited disco, soulful confessions and even church singing that first inspired her.

Songs of individuality (the glorious showdown with Chaka Khan on Soul Survivor), defiance (Moneyback) and determination (Breakout) predominate, while her tour de force finale with Robin Gibb on Too Much Heaven does the Bee Gees' tune a real service.

100% proves that, given the space and support to play the music they love, true artists can come up trumps.

Mind you, having a voice to charm the gods does no harm either.

Some of these songs have only got 2 or 3 plays so i suppose the newer ones will grow.

Well thats SOMETHING at least. Its a shame its going to be one of her lowest peaking albums though.

Those reviews are really saddening, I've heard most of the album and I know it's not rubbish, so there.

Not even £5? :o http://www.7digital.com/artists/beverley-knight/100/

Anyway, I haven't seen any links for it around.

It's not doing very well digitally, but I'd imagine her fanbase prefers CD. I'm gonna be getting my copy later.

It's up to #28 and #36 on iTunes. I agree, I think her fans prefer CD copies. I will buy mine when I get back from America.
Album isnt doing too baddly now then i guess. At least it'll go top 40 even if the single wont.
