Posted May 22, 200916 yr 9hJRafM1e8Q :cheer: Love the original mini-series with Marc Singer, Julie Parish, and Jane Badler, sadly the TV series that spun from it, was a bit crap. Hopefully this is better with the latest effects First season starts this fall with 13 episodes, 4 seasons have been commissioned, hopefully BBC or CH5 pick it up, perferably BBC.
May 22, 200916 yr I think it looks a bit $h!t personally. It's got impressive casting, but the CGI looks really shoddy. All the initial reviews I read were quite poor of it, but there's potential in the series and obviously it being a bit of a remake there'll be lots of interest in it. It's only a mid-season replacement though, so it'll either do really well or absolutely dreadful.
May 22, 200916 yr I loved the original but it was Michael Ironside who made it worth watching for me. Agreed the TV series that followed was a bit 'meh'. Just realised in that clip the heroine's son is called Tyler - Ironside's character name in the original. It looks ok to me! Norma Edited May 22, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
May 22, 200916 yr I'm hoping that it's gonna be more re-boot (eg, Battlestar Galactica or Survivors), than re-make (er, Bionic Woman or Knight Rider....   ).
October 12, 200915 yr Re-make of the 80's miniseries starts November 3rd. Airs for 4 weeks then on hiatus until March 2010. The pilot has been described as the "best pilot, forever" by E! Online. The Sci-Fi Channel will be airing in the UK next year. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" data-tag="youtube" data-tagfull="<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
October 13, 200915 yr I'll be watching it. Although the fact that ABC are airing it for 4 weeks, then having it go on a massive hitaus really does mean they can't be expecting massive things for it, which is quite suprising imo.
October 17, 200915 yr If this can re-boot the old franchise even half as effectively as the re-boot of "Battlestar Galactica" did, then, it should be pretty good..... I can only surmise by this short four-week run is that the first parts are kind of like a mini-series similar to the way that the original "V" was, to test the water.... I sincerely hope this turns out better than those absolutely TERRIBLE remakes of "Knight Rider" and "Bionic Woman"......
October 26, 200915 yr They've released the first 9 minutes... http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/tubetalk/a1...v-premiere.html
