June 7, 200916 yr Author This is true. But last year they had a turnover of £223m compared to Liverpool's £159m. Of all Premiership clubs Arsenal have the lowest wage bill in relation to their turnover, at just 45%. If Arsenal had to repay their debts, then at current levels, would be able to pay them back far quicker than Liverpool could. It doesn't matter if Liverpool can spend big in the summer, as all that will happen is they'll take out more debt on the club to finance the buys. Hopefully once we get a new Chielf Executive he can improve our marketing in Asia. Although we're still screwed until we get the new stadium.
June 9, 200916 yr Author Kaka officially a Real Madrid player now. At least that'll shut the Man City fans up for a few hours.
June 9, 200916 yr Spurs come in for a lot of stick on this forum but I bet any of you be it Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool supporter wish Daniel Levy was running your club Despite the fact we have a good £40m to spend each season in the transfer market which is right up there with the Sky 4 our debt is ZERO, we have no sugar daddy bankrolling us, we have no debts, all our money is self financing from sales of merchandise and Sky money etc we don't owe a penny unlike Liverpool, Arsenal, Utd Sadly successive managers have frittered away that £40m a year on sacks of $h!t with legs but no one can deny we are probably the best run club in the premiership
June 11, 200916 yr Ronaldo off to Real Madrid for £80 million. Edited June 11, 200916 yr by Ethan.
June 11, 200916 yr Kaka and Ronaldo for like £135m :| Clearly the credit crunch ain't reached Spain yet :o Stay well away from Lennon and Modric OWF
June 11, 200916 yr Lennon?! As if he would! He wants to win the league again! Liverpool have been sniffing around him for ages so if the 2nd best team in the country think he is good enough for them then he is not far off Utd level Liverpool can't afford him but Utd can The price for Ribery has probably gone up another £20m today so Lennon for 20-25m would be way better business than Ribery at 65m

LOL Liverpool would never pay that. I believe we're interested in him, but the only way we'd get him is swap + cash. There's rumours on the grapevine that Redknapp is interested in Babel... The thing is Man Utd would want a similar type of player to Ronaldo and Lennon is not that. Ronaldo played on the right wing, but he wasn't an authordox winger. Valencia suits that role much more, but he's less of a striker than Ronaldo.

June 11, 200916 yr Author I'd pay £12m tops for Lennon. Don't think Liverpool will go for him (same with any club at this moment in time). Man Utd might revert to 4-4-2, but I always thought their strength was the interchanging front 3.
June 11, 200916 yr England regular? He played TWICE when the first choice in his position was injured!

Levy would die laughing if you were a chairman and offered £12m for Lennon  If rumours are correct Ashley Young is soon to be a Chelsea player for around £20m, Lennon is better than Young, barely a year ago Young was rotting at Watford so I would certainly put Lennon's price around what Young is worth and a bit more as I rate Lennon higher than I do Young Plus given Young's lifestyle problems he will burn out quicker than Lennon too
June 11, 200916 yr England regular? He played TWICE when the first choice in his position was injured!  tbf though he has played in the same position as probably England's greatest player of the last 20 or 30 years, Beckham, no way would Lennon have evicted Beckham from the team, certainly Lennon is better than SWP
June 11, 200916 yr Author Walcott is first choice on the left now. I like Lennon but he's far too inconsistent. Don't think he's really at the level to be quality all the time for a top club. This is the problem with English players. £20m for example for Lennon, you could go and get David Silva for the same price who is twice the player Lennon is. Just goes to show how overrated our players are.

Just goes to show how overrated our players are. Always been the way though, buy English you could get good Africans and Spaniards for a fraction of the cost I am against the idea of the Premiership being swamped with foreigners as it holds back and ruins careers of young English players who can't get a look in because the league has been flooded with foreigners but sadly foreign talent is so much cheaper than home grown talent
June 12, 200916 yr ^ aye, and if reports are to be believed we're offering £20m+ for Bentley and Bent. Sunderland raiding Spurs for players during summer? Can't shake this feeling of deja-vu...
June 12, 200916 yr Yeah same at this end :o I was hoping for 2 or 3 to come in this summer and 2 or 3 to leave but looks like there is going to be a MASSIVE turnaround of players at Spurs this summer which is annoying as new ones need time to gel Zokora is in talks with Seville and Valencia, Jenas is on his way out, Huddlestone, Bent and Bentley look like their departures are imminent and we are in talks with Van Nistelrooy and Gago with talk of others in the pipeline too so its going to be deja vu here too
June 12, 200916 yr Author There's only like 3 journos I trust in the news. I swear most other ones must just pick random names and link them to teams. Amount of players i've seen Man Utd linked with all because they've got a lot of money is absolutely stupid.

But we've been after Bent for ages (Since we got promotion under Keane), it's up to Bruce now to try and sign him. If we get Bentley as well then great. It's all just a case of whether or not they'd leave London to move up here.
